Camsite Software Comparison Needed
 

Hello all!

I have a possible project fall into my lap- to build a camsite from the ground up. Whitelabeling, etc. is not an option. A collection of models wants to do their own thing and move away from the site they're currently on.

I know the drill- traffic, affiliates, advertisements, blah blah blah. I'm not up to that part yet and I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Where I am now, is that since this is going to be a small, niche site, rolling my own cam software from the ground up just isn't feasible. I'm looking for a relatively off the shelf solution to at least get the project off the ground, and can be (relatively) easily customized later. What software package gives the most bang for the buck? What seemed overpriced? I've been pouring over a few different solutions, and I've gotten some very varied responses. I've spoken to a couple of sales reps, and I've found that they all really like to shit talk each other. Needless to say, I don't trust anything that any of them say now. So I'm asking here- what packages have you tried? What was a good value? What didn't work and why? Who had good support? Who didn't? Please, share your experiences.
