START DATE & DEADLINES
The season opener (game 1) begins on THURSDAY Sept. 10th with NE Patriots hosting the Steelers. However, players have right up until the kickoff of the first game on the SUNDAY of each week to make their picks (Eastern Standard Time). IF YOU MISS PICKING EARLY GAMES (Thursday, Saturday etc) you simply forfiet the points for those games but you can still get your picks in for the remaining games before the usual Sunday deadline. No picks will be entered after the Sunday deadlines.


**NOTE** NO NFL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Anyone, and we do mean ANYONE can win! NFL games are notoriously fickle events, and even the most seasoned pickers and gamblers have been burned by a last second field goal or "hail Mary" play. There have been people who made random picks in past years who have won prizes.

Injuries, fumbles, interceptions, bad calls, stupid penalties, really stupid play calls, heartbreaking last second losses, 'sure thing' teams not covering the spread.... sounds like a typical week in the NFL. Week one games wrapped up with the Eagles losing to Atlanta, and my Niners taking a 20-3 win over the Vikings. Despite their loss the Eagles looked pretty good. After a myriad of penalties early-on, that guy Bradford found his groove and showed real poise and coolness under fire. In the end it was a game they should have won but at least there's promise there, which is more than you can say for a lot of other teams; Oakland, Tampa, Jacksonville, Cleveland, all right back in the outhouse basement.

Over 80% of the pool got bitten in the ass on the Seahawks loss to the St. Louis Rams, but several of you really capitalized on it. The one who capitalized the most this week though might just be the world's latest 49er fan if he wasn't one already, because that game sealed it for him...
