Houston sheriff's deputy fatally shot at gas station
 

(Reuters) - A sheriff's deputy pumping gas into his patrol car was shot and killed on Friday in an ambush at a Houston gas station, authorities said.

A search was under way for the officer's killer, who was described as a male dressed in a white t-shirt, driving a red truck, the Harris County Sheriff's office said.

The deputy was in uniform and filling up his car with gas when the gunman approached from behind and fired several shots, sheriff's office spokesman Deputy Thomas Gilliland told reporters.

"The deputy then fell to the ground. The suspect then continued over to him and shot the deputy again multiple times as the deputy laid on the ground," he said.

Live video from the scene in northwest Houston, about 20 miles from downtown, showed police tape across the perimeter of the gas station. Dozens of officers were on the scene.

The deputy was described as a 10-year veteran assigned to the west district, Gilliland said. His identity has not been released

Fucking news/press .... There is a man who just executed a police officer with multiple gunshots to the back fleeing the scene. He is obviously dangerous with nothing to lose should anyone get in his way and the press won't give his race. Just someone wearing a white t-shirt.

The officer was filing his car up with petrol, which is an explosive, so I'd guess the gunman thought his life was endangered and acted accordingly and within the law.

I'm all for free speech but you'd think there would have to be something they could charge these people on the radio show with. Inciting violence or something. Hell they have a charge for just about everything else these days.

He had two children so I feel sorry for them but you have to wonder how many police reports he lied on and how many times he covered for this fellow officers when they committed crimes or did not follow procedure. Also how many good fathers did he remove from homes where abusive mothers discover how to ruin a man's (and their children s lives) by use of false accusations and restraining orders? All cops are dirty and unless they protest the evil shit that cops do then they are just as bad or worse than the criminals they arrest.

One thing we know for sure......since this guy was a cop the world did not lose an intellectual today. Sorry but cops are mostly dumb and very cowardly.
