TS Erika Soaks Puerto Rico

For a minute I thought Nikki was writing for the NYT. GFY has ruined my perception of otherwise vanilla headlines. :helpme |
Baptiste reported from Roseau, Dominica.

With hurricane rated windows, doors and a roof I feel comfortable except for the fact that homeowners on the lake across the street have kept the height of the water way too high.
Never flooded since I moved into this house in 1993. I am staying here in FL just in case. I am insured up the ass - including flood insurance, but like everyone else have massive deductibles. I have been through one flood in my life. Never want to have to experience that again. |
Flooding sucks, and usually causes more damage than the actual winds. I remember being stranded in my house during TS Isaac a few years ago and the damage the flood caused - so not fun.
Be safe, suesheboy! The new path puts Erika smack dab in the middle of the state but remaining a Tropical Storm. I've been prepping m'self - got my water, batteries, bread, and rum yesterday :) ~Emily |
