Actually, I disagree with the previous comments because the Indian government will have done a lot of research on this and taken advice from other governments.

India is a country where there is very poor education on the whole and less than 10% of the population have access to it. Show the uneducated masses people porn and you're showing them ideas which can lead to rape.

Take away those images and the ideas remain (which may lead to more rape). However, you might be creating less social problems anew (ie rape) for the new entrants.

i hope rape count goes down as planned.
