The moment the helicopter lost control and crashed was caught on video:

Amazing that that guy walked away from that....

L-Pink 08-02-2015 12:09 PM

Only say one crew member get out.

Anyone know how many they usually carry?

ClaireMonroe 08-02-2015 12:10 PM

That's sad.

When that tail prop gives out...you're pretty much fubar'd.

How many crew were onboard?

TheSquealer 08-02-2015 12:16 PM

Looks like he lost power and auto rotates to the ground. Helicopters generally can lose power and not crash. Of course a heavily armored helicopter is going to land a little harder

In this model there are always two crew members. One has died as far as I know.

The irony that this happens at air shows around the world. Always a reminder that in the end what humans create is ultimately as imperfect and susceptible to failure as we are.

That guy is damn lucky to get out of that.. Hopefully the pilot was at least knocked out or dead on impact. Would hate to think he was alive when it caught fire.. That would be a hell of a way to go.

rear rotor loses power.. that sucks very badly

crazy to see the guy stumble out
