Looks like he lost power and auto rotates to the ground. Helicopters generally can lose power and not crash. Of course a heavily armored helicopter is going to land a little harder

In this model there are always two crew members. One has died as far as I know.

The irony that this happens at air shows around the world. Always a reminder that in the end what humans create is ultimately as imperfect and susceptible to failure as we are.

That guy is damn lucky to get out of that.. Hopefully the pilot was at least knocked out or dead on impact. Would hate to think he was alive when it caught fire.. That would be a hell of a way to go.
