I listen to almost nothing but rap music and I have never heard of Killer Mike. Has anyone here listened to much down south texas style rap?

i listen to bounce music and screwed shit all day everyday. Killer Mike is from ATL out of the Outkast camp

imho the lyrics are a lot more gritty and true to life..he definitely has a good flow for story telling..but the gritty tracks are the ones that the dungeon family produced

Screw is more than just slowing down the music, it's the freestyles over the music when it's slowed down and it's an attitude and a culture now, with all the others in Houston trying to copy the style. They call it screw music, well they named it after him so it's bigger than just slowing a record down. Everyone has to find their niche and make it work, he didn't make people buy it. It's just like rhyming over sampled music which nearly all hip hop artists do and you aren't questioning that too are you?
