I'd expect (or at least hope) they would do the same for you, so I'd let them know for sure.

I think the same way and always do. And people give it back to me - not necessarily the same people but people thinking alike. So it goes around

let them know., but there are some asshole site owners , who makes it very difficult for ppl to contact them.

i recall incident, i tried to notify issue
no contact form on site/no contact infomartion on site, got mail from whois, mailed him, got reply, my ip is abusive so server dropped my mail, changed ip/used vpn resent mail.....whoosh.
