According to a recent report, when a lawyer needed a break to pump breast milk, Donald Trump called her “disgusting.”

Presidential candidate Donald Trump called a lawyer and breastfeeding mother “disgusting” after she requested a break from a deposition in order to pump, according to a New York Times report on Tuesday.

According to the paper, lawyer Elizabeth Beck was questioning Trump in 2011 about a failed Florida real estate project. Beck, with her husband, represented clients who claimed to lose thousands of dollars in the deal. At one point, Beck, who had a 3-month-old daughter, requested a medical break which was contested by Trump and his lawyers, who wanted to continue, the Times says. That’s when Beck took out her breast pump to show that her request was urgent — she needed to pump for her infant. “You’re disgusting,” Trump told Beck before leaving the room.

This is how the game is played. When you run for president they will dig up anything they can to make you look bad. Not too long ago Trump said that golf should be an expensive game that only rich people can play so it gives people something to work for. I won't be shocked when that is brought up to make him seem elitist.

I am not breast pumping expert (sucking at most), but I guess there is some time frame when it must be done.

A deposition is a serious legal procedure even if it's an informal one. Taking a time-out in the middle of one for anything personal is unprofessional. Letting everyone know it's to pump milk out of your tits is laughable at best.

Nonee of this matters anyway because there is no chance he will be President.

The comment "you are disgusting" is being turned around on him. He could have meant it in the context that the lawyer was disgusting because she had no tact or class by simply whipping out the breast pump in court.

In no way was he condemning the actual act of breast pumping to feed the baby.

It's the manner in which the lawyer did the request which drew the ire of Donald.

How many depos have you done? Lawyers use those sort of tactics all the time to try and stress out the situation to their advantage.

I would think in that case, Trump could then whip out a baggie, announce that he was going to take a shit in it.. and the opposing council would have said "You're Disgusting!" and it would not be news, other than the fact that Trump had announced that he was going to shit in a bag.

You don't understand how I could infer that you have an issue with her breastfeeding from this? Why does having to feed a baby makes her less valuable mentally and professionally; therefore, inferior, and in your opinion subsequently she is worth less as a result?

The questions you should be asking are "why is it that i see these issues so different than the majority of others... what is different about my interpretation of the moral decision making of others". Call Trump an asshole all you want but the simple fact of the matter is that NO ONE, ANYWHERE, EVER wants to be around anyone's bodily fluids. That's for what should be fairly obvious health reasons. Comprehensive rules and guidelines and laws governing these behaviors go back to the dawn of civilization and are encoded into nearly any religion, anywhere ever for the same reasons. And "disgust" is an innate response which evolution has hardwired into us to help us avoid sickness and disease. Lacking that response or lacking a similar degree or response doesn't make you more right or wrong than anyone else... it begs the question "why am i different?".

I don't know that is true... i'd say that ANYTHING done or said during a deposition is a matter of strategy and tactics,... no matter how inane. They aren't just sitting around killing time without purpose. It's a complex game of chess and a big mind fuck where all parties are trying to mind fuck the others and put them in the position they want them in to get them to say/admit what they want them to or not etc. One attorney wants something thats disruptive and weird and probably had another purpose entiredly (leaving the room).... others object. I'll say that everything in the room is a game and that it's highly unlikely that any woman at the top of the legal field of all things didn't understand that it was both inappropriate and offensive/objectionable

Trump is a fucktard. However in all fairness in the middle of a legal preceding is not the place to pump out breast milk. As a woman I am all for our rights to pull out our tits and feed children in restaurants or public places. However a job is a job and if a woman wants her job she needs to make arrangements to make sure her personal life, including her children do not interfere with her performing her job.

However a restroom break for any reason should be acceptable. However if she just whipped out her boob to pump in the middle of the preceding she has no professionalism or class. He could have been more tactful than calling her disgusting but he by no means was he wrong for being irritated and verbalizing it.

You seem to forget that I was in the legal field and I have attended many and been the subject of a few. And for the record, when his own attorney wanted a piss break he had a different attorney take over.
