Any Red Bull Drinkers Here?

If I'm traveling, driving all night, I'll occasionally have a sugar-free small can. The regular 12 oz sugar version, take a look below.

"If you glance at the nutrition label on the back of popular energy drink Red Bull, the amount of sugar within is clearly stated: 27 grams per 8.4 fluid ounces. But Reddit user Gizmosarrow — who preferred the larger 12-ounce can — had trouble visualizing the amount"

“I wanted to see how much 39g of sugar actually was,” the Redditor wrote on the site Monday, admitting in the comments to a “two 12-oz. cans a day” habit. Turns out that the amount of sugar in one can alone translates to a rather startling mound of the sugary stuff"

Here’s what 39 grams of sugar looks like:

If you put that in a 12 oz can how much room is left for liquid?

prolly 11 oz. never checked the ounceages, it's very little. it's fucking killer for driving though, imo.

dyna mo 07-27-2015 07:29 PM

just back to say i'm stunned at that mountain of sugar. unreal. it's remarkable they can get that much sugar to dissolve into a red bull can

mineistaken 07-27-2015 07:31 PM

Hell no, I am not the one who would damage my health/heart by drinking that.
There are even some morons who drink it with alcohol!
Stupidity is endless :)

bronco67 07-27-2015 07:33 PM

I only drink it when I want to remember 2006...and that's not very often.

SBJ 07-27-2015 07:34 PM

Cocaine is where it's at!

that shit is 5 times as strong as red bull. But I do like my red bull too, just not as often as I did 5 years ago.

oh ya if you can score some cocaine energy drink the blue is good and the red is good but it has a burn to it. :2 cents:

does 5 hour energy give you energy? you might like it and you won't be consuming all that sugar.

I've actually never tried it. I always liked the taste of red bull and most of my red bull was consumed with jager or grey goose. Some days when I was on a 18-30 hour work day in porn I'd drink a few..

ErectMedia 07-27-2015 07:56 PM

I drink 1-2 Monster's a day as I prefer the taste over Red Bull.

At the bar I'll do Red Bull/Vodka or Vodka/Anything.

For driving purposes I'll agree 5 hour energy is where it's at. When I first tried one was like this shit don't work cause didn't feel jittery and shit but that's the beauty of it keeps ya alert without making your heart skip a beat. :2 cents:

One of my guys owns a few gas stations and when it first came out they talked of banning it here so I snagged a case of it from him. Little bit later they did ban it and ebay banned it as well as people were selling it on there. Didn't really dig the taste of it just bought it as I figured limited supply once the ban drops.

you can still buy it here. Did you try the blue? It tastes a lot better. I haven't bought any in a few years but back in the day that was the shit I drank when I needed to stay alert.. Red bull I drank for the taste and mixed great with alcohol.

lezinterracial 07-27-2015 08:27 PM

Something about the smell of Red Bull that I like. Somebody can open a can in a room and I want to try one.

I dig a can of Monster every once and a while too.

Spunky 07-27-2015 08:32 PM

Had a few red bulls and vodka drinks before

And what? You'll make 20 bucks out of it?

Not redbull, still interesting info about gatorade / sports drinks. I love that they recommend you minimise how long this stuff touches your teeth!

AllAboutCams 07-27-2015 09:22 PM

I stopped drinking mother daily as i was getting cramps in my legs but still have the occasional one.

Milfer 07-27-2015 09:47 PM

red bull being labeled as "energy drink" is a JOKE

JFK 07-28-2015 01:23 AM

I have been known to drink 3-4 or more a night at shows, then there are the Vodka, Red Bull nights :helpme

loreen 07-28-2015 02:41 AM

I had a 1/2 can in my whole life.
I just don't see the appeal / don't need an extra boost of energy (an espresso will do just fine) :)

MaDalton 07-28-2015 03:12 AM

you gotta try the original Thai Red Bull

Kratingdaeng

Quote:

The Thai product is a different company from the global brand by Dietrich Mateschitz, an Austrian entrepreneur.[5] Mateschitz was the international marketing director for Blendax, a German toothpaste company, when he visited Thailand in 1982 and discovered that Krating Daeng helped to cure his jet lag.[6] He cooperated with Chaleo's T.C Pharmaceuticals to adapt the formula and composition to "Western tastes". Then, he launched Red Bull in 1987. The two companies are often mistaken for each other. They are a separate entity focusing on different target market.

aka123 07-28-2015 03:36 AM

I used to drink that when hunting. Oh those days: freezing cold morning (water freezes around my boat), I am shivering and then drinking ice cold Red Bull. Fucking swell.. well, not really. Some years ago I switched to thermos and a warm coffee, that is swell for real.

Fruit flavored soda has even more sugar. Cherry coke, Orange, Dr Pepper, etc all have about 20-25G more sugar per 20oz

RyuLion 07-28-2015 12:37 PM

Drank it the first couple of months it was new then my body told me to not drink it anymore since it was bad..

How many people are out there jogging and drinking their "healthy" vitamin water wondering why they are still fat.

I know a woman that drinks a six-pack of Mountain Dew everyday. 276 grams of sugar!

Va2k 07-28-2015 12:43 PM

Red bull is ok, I love Monster original and their coffee ones I can and have drank 5 big cans 24 fl oz daily which COST a ton of fucking money a week at $3.88 a can. So now down to only 2 cans per day and a few caffeine pills 200mgs each called 357 mag

And harmless sounding Arizona Lemon Ice Tea has 72 grams of sugar per can!

Minute Maid lemonade has 67 grams of sugar in a 20 oz bottle.

if you are consuming that much sugar in a day it doesn't matter what your calorie count is, your going to be mal-nourished and fat... Nobody drinks like that and eats a lot of vegetables either.

ps energy drinks are heart attack potions, especially within ages of 18-23.

J. Falcon 07-28-2015 01:49 PM

I can't believe anyone would drink that shit. It's basically poison that tastes like piss.

todservices 07-28-2015 02:00 PM

you are all a bunch of fucking slaves drinking what tv tells you to drink

Choopa Phil 07-28-2015 02:07 PM

After reading this thread I got a craving for a Coke. Instead I walked over to the coffee machine and spooned sugar directly into my mouth.

ok, i'll try again: L-Pink points out the stupidity of people that try to work out, wonder why they are still fat and do not realize how many calories their "healthy" drinks have

my point: when you do a diet, count all calories you ingest cause you might not be aware that "vitamin water" has a lot of calories

that alone is what i am trying to say.
