How many Americans will spill blood for nothing?

Not to mention Brits, Spaniards and all the other sheep?

What's the point? What will be accomplished?

Why doesn't Bush put on a helmet, grab a gun and walk into Iraq?

Well, if most of the war take place in bagdad.... (population of 4 millions) ... it might ressemble what you saw in Black Hawk Down... only on a larger scale!!

That's why:

http://www.kings.edu/twsawyer/awol/a...oser-look.html

"Junior" signed this pledge when he entered the Texas Air National Guard: "I, George Walker Bush, ... have applied for pilot training with the goal of making flying a lifetime pursuit and I believe I can best accomplish this to my satisfaction by serving as a member of the air national guard as long as possible."

He made his first solo flight in March 1970. He never flew a plane after April 17, 1972. Lifetime pursuit?

King George scares the hell out of me cause this thing just doesn't feel right to me. It makes me wonder what his next move is going to be or what the countries that are a real menace like N Korea and China are going to do once they feel like we are too over committed to too many places. However I guess we're going to find out soon enough since this war will begin within 3 or 4 days.

We don't spill blood for no reason, and we sure as hell aren't doing it so our gas prices will be $.50 cheaper.

What will be accomplished? How about the destruction of an evil dictatorship that commits mass murder and torture? One that supports terrorist bombings and has a buildup of horrific weapons.

How about the liberation of a people who do nothing but suffer under their "leader"? The elimination of a serious threat to humanity?

honestly, would you go and fight in Iraq again?
as much as i respect you Amp, your opinion on this subject is heavily biased.

everyone else who supports the war, when will you be enlisting?

You are right and the person that started this thread is a disrespectful, seriously uninformed ass hole. - Nothing to argue about. - You'll never convince people like of anything - their minds are just closed. It's just good no one like that actually has any power to do anything but ask stupid questions.

Enjoy the war.

I can't. Even if I wanted to....

I would go back to Iraq tonight if I could.

like most things in life, opinion on war is subjective. having an opinion contrary to yours does not make me disrespectful, uninformed, an asshole, or close minded.

however, throwing insults based on opinon makes you disrespectful, closed-minded, uninformed and an asshole.

it's good someone like you really has no power to do anything but make stupid comments without backing them up.

I know you would. Like I said, your opinion is heavily biased. You're a soldier. As far as I know, you chose to be one. You chose to go where your government sent you and fight who your government told you to.

Mind if I ask why you can't go back?

That's just the way you came across to me....

I didn't see any respect for the soldiers that are covering my ass and yours. I don't see where you even really expected a real answer to your question unless you just woke from a 10 year sleep and really just don't know what has been going on.

Digipimp 03-18-2003 10:52 PM

I have to say I think that this war is probably bullshit, but I don't think wars are bullshit. I'm all in favor of kicking ass but I think it has to be done the right way. The UN is bullshit for sure and waiting for inspectors to run from place to place while the goods are moved from place to place is like watching a bad fucking movie late night on cinemax. With that being said I think we should kick some ass around the world I just don't see a full scale invasion of Iraq doing us much good, I'm all for sending in some covert ops people and letting them hang around and tear the leadership of that country and new asshole but not a full scale invasion. In this day and age and the current state of affairs devoting this many troops to a country like Iraq which I deem to be a second tier threat is too risky to me, because a tier 1 threat is going to pop up and get in your ass while your committed to Iraq. However being that I love this country the USA, but I think this administration sucks every bit as much as the one before it did, so I'm not democrat or republican, if called on to fight I would have to say I would probably pick up my shit and get my ass over there and fuck someone up in Iraq or wherever the hell they are because that's the price of my citizenship even if I have to answer to some dumbass administration. So that's my 2 cents.

I respect the soldiers. However, I don't respect the reason behind the war, and it saddens me that many noble and innocent men and women (both soldiers and civilians) will lose their lives.

What is the Reason behind the war?

I know the reasons, I want to know what YOU think they are...

Shock and Awe will kill many more Iraqis than Americans... I still don't know how I feel about all of this.

you can claim to respect them...

but I'll guess if you ask one that same question they would laugh in your face and ask you what cave you've been living in. Or just smack you.

Besides - your question is 3 months late - in case you haven't caught up - the debate is over pal....
