Could someone give me their views of the Cybernet Expo in Montreal? Is it worth attending...especially if youre a newbie?

Last year's seminars were among some of the best I've ever attended.

Cybernet Expo is an *excellent* convention to attend if you're a newbie. It's not loud and overwhelming like Internext, but there are still the major players there so you can get a lot of great networking in. Lots of places to sit down and talk and do business, open-forum seminars (where you can ask questions and get answers rather than being lectured to or listening to one big advertisement), and of course tons of parties to give you a feel for the more "fun" end of the business.
Take business cards and give them to everyone you talk to, get one from them... write notes on the back of the business card so that when you get home you can remember specifics about the person who gave it to you.
Involve yourself in as much as you can while you're there, completely immerse yourself in the convention - you won't be disappointed.

when is it? i probably couldn't make it... damn, when's the next good one?

The dates are June 5th - 7th .

I am setting up a Webmaster Tour for all the attending webmasters. You will now have a chance to see this great city and experience some French Canadian culture !

Montreal is also know for it's night life, strippers and escorts !
Something that the Webmaster Tour will cover !

Its gonna rock man MTL is the place to party from the french chicks to the reat beer its all happening here. as for the work side the MTL expo is perfect for the little guy that wants to network and get some good deals going.

The Montreal Show is an excellent one, had a great time last year!:2 cents:

The tour will be sponsored so there is not cost to webmasters !
If you or your company want to sponsor get in contact with me ! This will be great exposure. Montreal has too great of a night life to try to throw a hotel suite party or stay in one club !

If you are coming across the border I would not bring anything !

I do not smoke but some say Quebec grows some of the best weed in the world, so I would'nt bring that !

Montreal has a huge rave scene so x, k, g, c, and speed are easy to find !

i'm even gonna take that weekend off from my normal golfing binges with the boyz just to attend all the events!!! LOL

this could very well be the "convention of the year" for 2003 :thumbsup

What type of seminars or forums are going take place? Especially for newbies to gain more knowledge? I was looking more in the direction of TGP's.

There is a convention going on every Month !
For some reason Montreal webmasters meet and have fun together ! I was in New York last month and it was like pulling teeth to get a small get together. Most of them said they did'nt want to go out because it was snowing............ There can be 3 feet of snow in Montreal and people still go out !

I would say the deal is if you come to Montreal then it is a convention ! Most of the time it starts, happens and finishes in a strip club !

This was a great show last year and I only expect it to be better this time around!
