Go-Pro suggestions
 

My brother-in-law wants to get a Go-Pro for my sister and is looking for recommendations. Primarily used as a dash cam and some hand held around the neighborhood stuff.

She won't be SCUBA diving, mountain bike riding or jumping out of planes.

Sounds a Mobius would probably get the job done then. And a lot cheaper.

hd hero 4 is necessary if you want to shoot 24fps in 4k. otherwise, any hd hero 3 will do. or alternatively: ISAW, a south korean alternative which has shittier image in the dark but apart from that, just as good.

Definitely go the mobius as Mr Pheer has suggested, does all of that at a fraction of the price of the GoPro

What IS the recommend 2nd place runner up quality wise to the GoPro? mobius?

If you buy GoPro, make sure you buy extra batteries

And the backpack. makes it much easier to use being touch screen and gives you the ability to see what your recording.

Definitely go with the backpack. Kind've pissed me off it doesn't come included.

I have several of these sj4000. they work with all the GoPro accessories. they have shitty battery life but the replacement batteries are super cheap so I bought a pile of them at $10 a piece.
