There's nothing in that article to support the claim BO is a clown.

The way that story is reported is kind of designed to make you hate the hell out of Iran.
Ironically, the people of Iran are hearing the same thing from our news organizations here in the U.S. in reverse. Every time I hear about this deal...it's always that Congress will NOT agree to it (just like the Iranian leader said that "IF" the deal is passed in Iran's govt.). And the President and Congressional leaders keep saying publicly how much they want to "control" and "Keep Iran in check" Is that gonna piss them off? Hell yes. Just imagine if another country was saying that about the U.S. while at the same time forcing us to do something against our will? |
I hope Congress shoots this down. Then Iran will have nuclear weapons in three years....
|
|
Actually, the U.S. and Iran were close allies from WW2 forward.
Iran used to be our "muscle" in the middle east. The Shah was in power (with out support) from 1941 up until 1979 when the "revolution" ousted him. So you could post that same picture up there...but replace it with every President from WW2 up to Reagan. And they would all have administrations that sold weapons to Iran. People make those memes to try and attack one "side" or another (republican or democrat) without realizing that history shows that there is no difference between them in the long run. :( |
Unfortunately, it is too late to realize it now

But much of that is lost in today's penchant for revisionist history. |

I don't understand the details of the deal, but Congress is 100% anti-Obama, and John Boener is the worst speaker of the house in the history of speakerseseses of the houseseses. To me, anything he says is just pure bullshit. Congress has always been against Obama, especially on the good things he has done. So to me, Congress has zero credibility. |

It wasn't deemed to be 'perfectly legal', they blocked and hid most of the evidence and good old Ollie North took the hit for funding the Contras. You think it's perfectly legal to supply weapons to terrorists? |
Quote:
i think it's perfectly legal that several investigative groups and committees determined the sale to Iran to be legal. that's the part you are confused about. i'm stating facts, not views. |
Several investigations ensued, including those by the U.S. Congress and the three-person, Reagan-appointed Tower Commission. Neither found any evidence that President Reagan himself knew of the extent of the multiple programs.
Ultimately the sale of weapons to Iran was not deemed a criminal offense. Tower Commission Report Excerpts Iran Contra Committee Key Findings |

Hilarious how right wingers have no problem with their God arming terrorists and training them (bin Laden). Talk about revisionist history. :helpme |

Why the hell do you think it was called the Iran Contra scandal and not just the Contra scandal? Now go argue with someone else on why its ok for a sitting president to arm terrorists. |
your choice, you want to be a fuckwad cocksucker. nothing new to see here.

1) Sign the agreement which prevents them from building nuclear weapons. 2) Allow them to build nuclear weapons and eventually go to war with them. As much as I get a stiffy when the United States flexes it's military might, it's best to avoid war if possible. Just like with Obamacare, the Republican party is going to scream bloody murder and fight this tooth and nail without offering any other options. Great, let's do it their way. Let's not sign the treaty and allow them to build nuclear weapons. Then we can see how well that works out. Again, this is very simple - It's the "carrot or the stick". We want them to take the carrot and everyone is happy. The only other option is the stick, which will require billions of dollars and potentially tens of thousands of American lives. |
i'm still lolling at the dimwit who puts a Ronald Reagan meme in a thread about obama's nuclear peace accord pointing his finger at me about arguing, all while he gets butthurt and makes it personal about my stating a fact.

The reality is...the United States has had it's prints all over the Middle East and the world.
Our federal govt. has armed every terrorist and dictator out there as long as there was money to be made. :( It's one of the reasons that I no longer will vote for EITHER Democrats or Republicans. You guys can argue with each other all day long. Reality is...Reagan was a scumbag. Bush (both of them) were scumbags, Clinton was a scumbag, Obama is a scumbag. I seriously an unaware of ANY President in my lifetime that was anything more than just a scumbag politician...starting with JFK and all the way forward. |
Grapesoda-
Yeah man. We know what you think of Obama. You've only been saying the same thing for like 4 years almost every day. |

I'm not saying the United States is not to blame - we've had forty years of fail with the middle east, starting with Iran - but the United States isn't the only country to blame. |

I'm not sure how anyone who has basic knowledge of the details of this agreement comes to any kind of conclusion that it makes Iran closer to getting the bomb.
Politics...that's why. |

You just don't want it to work because "Obama". Just like you probably wish a Republican president had nailed Bin Laden, instead of that dirty Kenyan savage. |

*my prayers were not answered... unlike you I don't give a fuck which party a guy is from, his color or any of that stuff as long as the shit get fixed... like when my toilet is clogged, I don't give a fuck what color the plumber is... you might consider getting your shit together... just a thought :2 cents: |
for me, this accord is a shit or get off the pot deal with iran. we all hear how the USA is supposed to lead with diplomacy, not military and this will prove whether or not diplomacy works with iran. we've placated and buddied up with israel enough and saudi arabia isn't any better than iran when it comes to state sponsored terrorism. so really, who gives a shit about either of them any more.
nevertheless, it's important to remember what this deal is about- it's about delaying iran's ability to go nuke by ~9 months. that's it. they currently stand at ~3 months till nukes. this deal is expected to last no more than 20 years tops too. it's not a panacea, it doesn't address any other issues. i'm skeptical, but i hope it works. |
The world, specifically these pacifist countries are all stupid if they think those ass clowns Iranians are not going to build nuclear weapons. That is a terrorist supported country. Their very existence in their miserable lives is the destruction of Israel and the US. It's a shame governments are stupid not to realize this one underlining fact. Iran doesn't want peace, they are just stalling for their end game, which is nuclear weapons. And when they do achieve it, they will be a bigger pain in the ass than they are now. The US made a mistake once already letting that those commies in China get their hands on Nuclear weapons, look how they fucking us around now. Don't touch this, don't touch that. Imagine what will happen when Iran becomes a nuclear, they will enforce their warped fucked up beliefs and we will never be able to step foot into any muslim nation again if we are wronged. Worst, they will arm terrorists all around the world that will target the US. And more likely than not, if there is a nuclear war, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be Iran who causes it.
The world would be a safer place if there was a giant crater where Iran is currently. The whole country needs to be exterminated just like China needed to be exterminated a while ago. Bush was right when he called Iran part of the Axis of Evil. They truly are evil and there is no redeeming qualities about that civilization, they are the pestilence of society. |

Companies like Walmart and Apple are just as evil for doing business with the devil (China). White supremacists often use the term "race traitors", I call US companies that undermine their own country's economy by moving their manufacturing plants overseas in countries like China for the greed of greater profits "country traitors". Instead of helping your own economy, scum companies like Walmart and Apple are feeding the enemy and in turn weakening our great nation.
To answer your question, iPhones should be made here in the US. Especially at the ridiculous prices they sell them for. I read it cost about $125-200 for an iPhone to be made. Yet they charge us almost $600-1200. Even if production costs are higher here in the US, they would still make a nice profit having the phone made here stateside, but Apple prefers to screw the american people out of jobs for the greed of greater profits having it made in China. It's a shame I like the iPhone so much, otherwise I wouldn't support a company like Apple who take away jobs from good honest americans. |
