Billing Companies Running PaySites - Conflict of Interst?
So we know that our friend Mitch from Netbilling has webmaster programs and the concenssssssus was that it is really not that ethical what about the others? What about Jettis??
|
I see it as no different than webmasters with sponsor programs that have their own merchant/billing systems.
But then.. I like chocolate chip celery.. :) |
What would make it a conflict of interest? I've seen you argue this before. Never understood it then, don't understand it now.

Porn is not that ethical.

Hi Erik,
Jennifer from Jettis here. I thought this had been brought upand answered before: (http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...pagen umber=2) JMScore said it best: Jettis does not own any paysites. Jettis is privately held, by a number of owners, some of whom do own paysites. None of these shareholders, or those without paysite affiliation, are involved in the day to day operations of Jettis. Jettis is a one man operation...it's all Kjell. ;-) |

I feel the same way. Where is the conflict? |

I think its essential that billing companpanies DO run sites, albeit on a small scale, simply so they can understand the issues webmasters face.
They may want to do this through a separate legal entity, but certainly the individuals driving the company should have up to date experience of the industry their customers are in. |

He who controls the spice, controls the universe. The processors have all data, all the stats, all the emails (of clients, webmasters, customers) they know which webmasters are the best, which sites (styles/layouts) convert the best, which customers are "moving on" and cancelling weaker sites etc. and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Of course its a conflict of interest. |
