Why is it, no one can hold a camera phone correctly? Seriously, they need to plaster a message on the screen which requires you to press "ok" to continue..

Around here they call'em 'speedy cabs.'

Cops turn a blind eye to them most of the time except the rare occasion they have a blitz crackdown to look good in the media. Then its back to biz as usual.

Tbh that's what really gets me about these dindos. Not only are they attacking innocent people they can't turn their god damned phone sideways. Fucking filming with the phone verticle...savages.

No, they operate right under the nose of cops in the downtown core without being ticketed for unlicensed cab operation. They pick up college kids from bars and nightclubs at last call while cops walk foot patrols right past them. Usually they drive unmarked minivans.

See it all the time.

Most people don't realize if the unlicensed cabbie gets in an accident resulting in injury, the passenger is screwed. In a licensed cab, the driver/cab company carries liability insurance in case of accident and injury. Not so with these 'speedy cabs'.

i agree very risky to use those service who don't have proper liability.
