Graphics/marketing critics and designers, what do you think of this logo?
I'm in non-adult now mainly.. but I often refer to this hive of scum and villainy for answers or opinions, believe it or not..
I love Yufe Uckers. So I'm thinking this new product I have deserves a better logo, rather than a bland arial style font to keep it minimalistic. I like futuristic or street/ghetto for this one.. the left and ride middle will have forward and backward buttons layered so thats why the right side is blank do you like #1 or #2 better? If you say neither, then you betta break out PS or AI and do something cool, I may buy it off you Both may appeal to Gen X'ers.. from my X Pen line of vaporizers, its the Nectarizer. #1 http://i.imgur.com/jqsa2G6.jpg #2 http://i.imgur.com/NhG7aID.jpg |
1 is almost good, just extend some of the letters a little to make it more legible but without losing that style.
|
thx, thats the font tho.. I can scale it even more downward, you should have seen it before I scaled it.. it WILL say X Pen Nectarizer below the product for people to click on and add to cart but I def dont want it to look like some death metal bands logo with 2000 thorns in it and completely unreadable.

Add bees into the ad so that people will run away faster.
If you are going to use NECTAR as your main idea? Use a fucking flower. People hate bees and shit... if you have to use bees, use some fucking honey or something. Not a honeycomb. :1orglaugh You people wonder why the electric company is knocking on your door looking for a check. :1orglaugh You're trying to promote non smoking shit. And you are using POISONOUS images to get your point across? Are you kidding me? :Graucho |
The first logo is nicer and easier to read, and would look good on a t-shirt.
However the wallet-thing that the items are in looks very dirt-cheap and ghetto. |
good God you've been dealing with jerkoffs on this site for too long harmon.. I don't grow, so I've never had to worry about an electric bill except for what my computers use..
the honeycomb is the same color as a lot of wax people make, concentrates.. originally I had it set to somewhat opaque but it looked better with it as a full bg.. this is the front page slider, not for the product page itself which features the product pics only. Bees? please. Poisonous images? Thats so trollish and nonsensical, wtf dude!? A competitor is using a flower and hummingbird already.. so I'm going with a nectar, wax/honey theme.. its all related.. who really gives a shit.. its just imagery to put the consumers mind in the ballpark of the type of product its most used for.. in this case, wax. Should I break out a candelabra? thanks anyway for the reply tho Quote:

Thanks Mark, I appreciate that.. actually the wallet is pretty nice, its leather and has some cool stitching on the topside.. the factory has already discontinued them but they wouldn't have been bad to add inside the box the whole thing comes in.. open a box and get the product from some kind of foam or eva packaging usually.. beats plastic.. but when the product pages goes up tonight people can buy the zipkits until they're gone.. but Im cool with just a good box design anyway... thanks for your input. the blue actually scares me, but the black one is not bad, the brown one not pictured here even looks good. No worries. http://i.imgur.com/FNWeszO.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ZSVZ7yk.jpg |

fuckin bees:1orglaugh |
dude do you even smoke? 710? I know you don't because you talked shit as if I grew.. not that it matters, and I don't but thats beside the point. Its all about wax and there's even some strains called nectar and wax is the most common term in 710.. it will appeal to people who do. Its a bit in your face, repetitive.. sure.. but I bet it draws clicks.. I'll know in a few days.
its borderline sci-fi since adding the logo.. the product itself is new tech .. I'll A/B test it with another slider and see which does better.. most of my black or white bg sliders typically do ok... but sometimes the odd image pulls more.. everyones seen Apple's white bg products.. or Microsoft's blue sky / clouds.. my next products X Pen Genesis and X Pen Legacy will have outer space and maybe some biblical imagery.. I'll be sure to post some results, good or bad. Plain minimalistic = classy? Or does adding some beautiful imagery draw more clicks? I know what works here.. how about you guys? |

you were running through the brush when all the sudden you smacked head first into a beehive? or was it the Honeycomb Hideout? ...it cracked open and bees stung the shyte outchya.
Whats the issue? Im not a big bee fan either. You won't find one in my ad either. I didn't even think about bees when I saw this bg. Why? Bcuz I know that WAX is what people in the 420/710 game associate this image with...unless of course they've been living on a bee farm or got chased by a herb of bees and it stamped your memory for life. Jeez.. can always count on gfy for a few laughs and plenty of wasted time. But I think I got my answer from Mark... who happens to be quite successful at what he does. |

Neither of them. I see nectar and honeycomb. What has that got to do with dope?
What's your market? How much do these things cost? |

The first logo is kind of shitty imho, because if it's ever used without the honeycomb in the back it's going to be difficult to figure out what it says. The second one just looks cheap - what does grafiti with paint dripping have to do with waxing hair?
|
Do not stylize your logo that much. Think of any brand name of anything you have ever seen including Megadeath and Metallica and their logos look good in all colors, on all backgrounds and are first and foremost easy to read.
If you cannot understand it in a sea of people 60 yards out it is shit. |
Not a fan of either; btw, I don't necessarily think those are considered to be logos.:2 cents::2 cents:
|
First one is hard to read; poor brand recognition text wise. The second one has some weird vampire look that doesn't quite fit. If you make the first one more readable it is clearly better choice.
|
Just don't use the font in the second one. People buying vapes/pens are looking for top of the line/futuristic shit and that looks like some cheap crap from the 90s if you use that one..
|
Stop trying to treat a business and website like an art project. Clarity sells, not awkward, difficult to read text
|
Don't try to market to the ghetto, market to the world:2 cents:
|
I cannot quickly and easily read it. That is a no-no.
It looks like you're selling a shooter's kit for heroin. Especially with the font in the second one. As Harmon mentioned: why are you using poisonous (to some) images to promote a healthy alternative? |
need more contrast , check ur fonts ... overall okay but not so professional
there is a big market for this though |
#1 - a little more readable is better but font is better. #2 is already dated.
Cool stuff. |

If I were to choose, though, 1 is better than 2 :) |
Honestly I dislike both.. I have a feeling that 5 minutes were spent on this.
However as a PsyHead I checked VaperCash and signed up in a heartbeat :) :pimp |
No offense but both logos and banner are quite amateurish work. The whole thing leaves impression of Jesse Pinkman's buddies kind of guys being behind the whole thing. :2 cents:

Congrats on failing in mainstream too loser. 👎👾 Do yourself a favor & come around here when you want opinions on adult matters. Your "mainstream" stuff is shit. No offense I 💖 my mainstream friends. |

Ive been a designer for 15 years and both are horrible.
Very very cheap and amateur looking. |

I deal with basically strictly mainstream these days so i technically cannot speak for adult at this time. But it is my belief in doing things properly from the beginning. It is already difficult enough as it is to compete in today's market in every area. And when you're cheapening your brand from the get go you're setting yourself up for a lot of short and long term headaches. Users from the beginning should be seeing your brand, understanding it, and trusting it the more and more each time they view it. These logos will need to be replaced eventually. And when you do that you will squash almost any brand awareness you had from the get go. But hey i am also a firm believer in giving everything a try. So why not. But I am also a firm believer if you're going to do something you should be doing it properly. And these logos are not proper. |

I just got email spam trying to sell this exact item.
I never signed up for any email list. I sure hope you didn't grab my email address from GFY to mail me. Also, there's a difference between a Logo and some stylized text. What you've got is the latter. |

btw when I do dabs, I still prefer nails and torches... lol :upsidedow

hey at least he asked us if we would like the logo! |
doesn't looks so pro :S

But for real, that guy already has logo; that Xpen. That Nectarizer is just a name for one of the products in that Xpen product family. Unless I got it totally wrong. |

I've been vapin' about a year and a half - and many of my co-workers vape. But none of us use a pouch/wallet thingee to carry our vape stuff around. I just carry my iTaste MVP in my cargo pants pocket...most of the others do the same.
So my question - is the wallet actually a sales feature? Looks bulky and clunky to deal with all day. As for the logos, neither appeal much to me (from both a consumer and graphic designer perspective). No offense, I just tend to agree with the other comments that say it looks unprofessional and somewhat amateur...something I'd expect to see in a flea market environment. |
Does fiverr give refunds?
