How is the probable war illegal?

Ok, I keep hearing "illegal war" thrown around.

What makes it illegal. I was not aware of a "legal war".

Is it simply interpretation of the iraq resolutions? Because IRAQ is in breach.

Don't waste your time, no one seems to be interested in logic or reality.

It's not illegal via the UN, Bush is just a lousy diplomat that can't or won't candy-coat political decisions like Clinton could. Not saying he's wrong, but, well, that's the situation we're in.

I know but I am sobering up some and was actually wondering this.

Ok.

Bush, love him or hate him :)

It will be interesting to see how the War plays out for him.

There is no such thing as an "illegal" war. Period. When Hilter invaded all of Europe, was the war illegal? When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor without warning, was it illegal? No. Of course not.

You can say the US doesn't have justification for the war.... But I don't buy that idea at all.

Iraq surrendered in the Gulf War. Part of the terms of the surrender was certain items. This was not "something to be discussed"; This was set in stone (ink really). More than ten years later Iraq has failed to come to terms. Ten years is more than enough time.

Time to take him out.

There is often this problem exiting some "Disneyland bubble" and isolating reality :1orglaugh

Seriously... time will tell (probably soon), whether the "war" is legal or otherwise. The US signed the UN Charter which laid out the "rules". But looks like the US wants to bend the rules once again - no surprise they could not agree to the International Criminal Court to which they first subscribed. Watch a rogue state in action.
