The British Empire systematically went about hiding the most horrendous genocides Since the 18th century.

Ireland potato famine was one on their list.

So what? There's probably no one alive who's great great grandfather was involved in any of that. And theres probably no country on earth that hasn't committed crimes against humanity of some description going back over the last few hundred years.
