Stopping Idiot Friend from Getting into my Network

Some idiot friend somehow got my IP Address and now goes into my network as he pleases and it's real fucking annoying. I'm running windows XP I'm sure that I can lock him out somehow.

Please direct me on how to do this.

Thank you,
Xinnov

there's a firewall built into windows xp, i always enable that, and there's also several decent software firewalls out there like sygate, symantec and mcafee.

if you wanna get crazy with the cheeze wiz, get yourself a sonicwall hardware firewall :)

Punch him in the face. That should do the trick :)

Do this, an ex friend once installed a virus on my computer, I fucked him up once I found out it was him who did it!

Install a firewall,
and punch him in the face

search google for pf2.exe (Tiny personal firewall v2 -- the old freeware branch) 2.0.15 was the last free version I believe.

Perfectly good, simple to understand firewall software.

Open windows explorer
right click C drive
click Properties
click sharing
Turn off sharing, and or
password protect for sharing.
Punch him in tha face
or only share files that are infected with a virus.

Has anyone considered suggesting that you ask him to stop?

LOL

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, but to the people who suggested I install a firewall, my cable connection just won't work and after I called microsoft about it, they said there is already a firewall built in... but it obviously doesnt work

No, one is asking the other is telling.

I don't think this solution has been mentioned yet:

Punch him in the face.
