War Predictions Q & A.

Now that we know the war is imminent, what are your guesses for the following.
#1 When do you think the first air strike will happen ?

#2 How long will the slaughter continue, before the Iraqi soldiers retreat/ surrender/ desert ?

#3 Do you think Saddam will be captured / killed / suicide or seek refuge in a country that will accept him?

#4 How long do you think it will last ?

My Answers are.....

#1 When do you think the first air strike will happen ?

Wednesday , March 19 2003

#2 How long will the slaughter continue, before the Iraqi soldiers retreat/ surrender/ desert ?

Within the first 48 hours of the war.

#3 Do you think Saddam will be captured / killed / suicide or seek refuge in a country that will accept him?

Suicide I think, he will refuse to be captured alive and I don't think any country will accept him , who would want to harbor him to have the US Military knocking at their door.

#4 How long do you think it will last ?

10 to 14 days.

1. They will do a 72 hour waiting period and give Sadaam one last shot to leave the country. So, if that is issued tomorrow, then by weekend we strike.

2. Quite awhile since we are planning to actually invade and go after sadaam this time. In the desert they will run, it is in the Cities where they will fight.

3. He could hide for years. I think he is a pussy and will run to another country and be given the chance to do so.

4. Should last for quite some time. Fighting in the city will take time as we don't want to go off killing civilians. The royal guard and best units are already dug in. Our Air Force won't be too much use and it will be lots of hand to hand until it is over. Could be months. Remember, we gave them a years warning so they are very prepared.

Looks like we may give a 48 hour notice instead. Either way, by Friday/Saturday we roll in.

I'm optimistic about this being a swift one. I think the intimadation factor with the newer milatary toys will send a clear picture. Espeacially that mother fucker MOAB. That is some scary fuck, imagine hearing that mother go off. I believe you can here the blast from 60 miles away. I heard that leaflets droped over Bagdhad read something of the like " WARNING DO NOT USE CHEMICAL OR BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS ON US MILATARY. IF CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS ARE USED ON US MILATARY THE ENDING WILL BE SWIFT. How's that to make you think twice.

Did not Iraq order a shitload of US military clothes so they can go kill all his people and blame it on the US?

Triple 6
"Did not Iraq order a shitload of US military clothes so they can go kill all his people and blame it on the US?"

Still another pack of lies from the "honorable" US Admin... just like all the other "non evidence" produced/forged so far that convinced the world of Saddam's "evils"...

All crap....

First strike will be between 4:25AM-7:25AM local time in Baghdad on Friday, Thursday in the US.

Mmm.. thought they would arrange it to be prime time TV drama in the US... just like the Somalia "policing policy".....

I hear reality TV is doing well.....

Yeah so! What's your point ? Suppossedly the Iraqi's will take out a few of their own to try and show the world what Barbarians the US Milatary are. But I don't think that will change the length of time for the war, just the civillian casualty count. This will not be anything like Vietnam if that is what you are alluding to.

Yes along with it seems the minority in the world today, I think that saddam should be taken out of power, by military force.

The problem is that so many poeple have short memories

remember what happened in somalia? I'd rather not see that happen again, but it will sometime after the invasion.

these people are fanatical and brutal and so are the alternative groups who oppose saddam

US forces are STILL in South Korea, Japan etc etc

everyone is not going to live happily ever after 14 days, sorry

I get your point taken, I know the troops will be occupying Iraq for many years later or at least until the oil runs out. There will be outburst of fighting here and there with militant factions I know but I was referring to the war and not the aftermath. And your quote " everyone is not going to live happily ever after 14 days, sorry " I know I will and I suggest you do the same or do the best you can bro' :)

I wouldn't be surprised if Iraq launches the first attack..and soon,,well before the 48hour deadline

DolcettChef 03-17-2003 06:36 PM

The last war was swift because it was allied coalition based in armies surrounding Iraq.

This war will be US and UK attacking from one direction, with surrounding nations maintaining neutrality at best or SAM sniping US flyovers as a violation of sovereign airspace.

When the US Admin has to admit the sources are crap and the story they issued "questionable" it don't take an idiot to summarise the shit. I particularly like the "we don't put much weight on this story..." after they announce it...

You actually believe almost 12 months of "stories" released or leaked by "un-named intelligence sources"?? Tis a joke....

The "intelligence data" so far submitted to UN weapons inspectiors has been proven to be either inaccurate, unfounded or fraudulent. They even "claim" the FBI are investigating the lastest fraudulent "evidence" (bullshit).... I'll wait for that result in vain!

You actually believe one word that is splurted from the mouth of the US Admin on *ANY* subject?? That credibility has long gone....

Even "normal" statements from the Admin look like they live in Disneyland... "The madman is even stupid enough to tell his troups to fire on our men..." says Bush. He'll be saying next, "Mr Saddam, can you not point your guns at us please, it makes us kinda nervious?" Sheesh... Bush needs a term on the front line or taken to Huntsville for termination... God help US - but hell, they half elected the fool and will reap the harvest he has sown in many areas...

Get real and start reading or listening to the excuses and lies - they are given decent coverage on CNN between this week's top box office ratings and video game reviews... Sad shit for a supposedly modern civilized society...

And yea, I'll trust my eyes and seeing the actions of others above listening to your "opinions" any day...
