Together affiliate network closes affiliate accounts without notice

Ok so I felt like I should report this poor business manners to the community. I was trying to log in to my affiliate account over Together affiliate network the other day. Instead of giving access to my account I was requested to update my affiliate information. From this point it has not been possible to log in. I have contacted my TAN to discuss the matter. They confirmed that affiliates had to "re-register" and would be contacted it they wanted to continue partnership. I don't think I had accumulated any revenue worth mentioning using the program but I think their poor manners are worth reporting. Do what you want with this information :)

Here is what I consider poor business manners in this case.
  • No notice was sent out about the need to "re-register" and account closed automatically.
  • TAN do not answer emails regarding the shut out

Dear -Cookie-,

It's Alex here and I would like to address some concerns you've raised and explain the situation a bit.

This month we did implement new verification system and it was decided that all existing accounts should also go through this checkup. It was a reasonable move from what was a fairly lax registration system where a new affiliate had to submit very little information in order to get in. Unfortunately, this lack of data caused us certain problems in the past so we decided to change this approach. The whole new process is quite straightforward and requires a simple submission of personal and business info that 99.9% of other affiliate programs already inquire anyway.

Please note that whether or not the existing accounts are reactivated we do pay out the remaining balance (emails with all the instructions have been sent out to the respective affiliates).

As one can imagine this is a lengthy and complicated process so our managers are experiencing an abnormally high amount of incoming emails and it takes extra time to answer all of them. I apologize for any delays affiliates are experiencing because of this.

Anyone should feel free to contact me at [email protected] or Skype together.partners to discuss any problems or concerns they have in regard to their accounts.

Thanks,
Alex

I got no problem with having to fill out some additional information. And I can understand that the account managers have a high amount of emails to answer. But I bet that a lot of those emails could have been avoided if your team would have sent out an email explaining the situation before shutting people out.

Anyhow, I said my peace.

We should have probably done that, it makes sense -Cookie-. Lesson learnt. Thanks for your honest feedback!
