Marco Rubio can't keep his party credit card in his pants..
Holy shit this guy is way worse than Christie was..
Marco Rubio charged $1000s in expenses on his Republican Party credit card | Daily Mail Online Long read but it's a good article.. a few high lights.. Rubio, 43, is among the least well-off of the Republicans running for the White House. When he left the Florida House of Representatives in 2008 he said he had a net worth of $8,351 while having hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt from mortgages and $115,000 in student loans. In his last financial statement to Congress he said he had at least $450,000 in liabilities. 'He made a $200,000 profit selling a house he owned to the mother of a chiropractor who was lobbying for a change in state insurance rules. Rubio had been a holdout, but removed a block on the measure shortly after the home sale and voted for it,' Roiz-Fangio wrote. The credit card bills show Rubio charged items including $765.05 at Apple's online store, as well as the $134 haircut and items such as $114.70 at Mario the Baker, $10.50 at an AMC movie theater and $68 at Happy Wine liquor store near his home. Rubio claims the Happy Wine charges were 'to buy sandwiches for working lunches in my office, a legitimate expense.' Other charges on the American Express card included $1,456.87 at Disneyworld, $761.54 at Costco and $171.15 at the Flower Mart of Hialeah, Florida as well as several hundred dollars in delinquency payments. Rubio also charged the party $1,000 for repairs - carried out by one of Braman's companies - to his family's minivan, He said the vehicle was damaged by a parking valet at a Republican Party event. He then charged a further $2,976.15 for an Avis hire car he says he needed for five weeks. Columnist Carl Hiaasen of the Miami Herald took him to task for one AmEx bill for $412 charged at All Fusion Electronics in Miami for 'computer repairs.' 'If you visit All Fusion, you won't see many computers. However, the company does sell drum kits, guitars and karaoke machines,' wrote Hiaasen. A 2006 family reunion in Georgia is another classic example of questionable financial judgment on the part of Rubio. (he paid $500 tab for rooms for his family members on that last part using the party credit card) Seems even his own party fears this will be a major issue and they aren't happy with his spending habits on the party credit card. He also had a house go into foreclosure because he didn't make the payments for 5 months.. (real fiscal responsibility there) |
it's a republican party credit card, not a government issued card.

"In his pants"?
Why do all of your Republican bashing threads have a creepy, homoerotic tone? Last week you were all worked up about "Boner". You might want to explore your true feelings about these men. |

It's also interesting that he was largely bankrolled by one guy. Some FL billionaire guy who likes him. Just seems odd when he is a tea party guy and they are supposed to be aginst govt waste, taxes ect.. Then to see him being so fiscally irresponsible with other peoples money. Also the house sale is a big red flag. |
if this story was truly newsworthy, i'd think the OP would be ecstatic with the news that rubio is alienating himself from the republitards and little old ladies on account of his spending republitard dollars on a attending a family reunion.

i'm not surprised that's your best guess.

This is pretty much how all politicians work across the board.
how is going into foreclosure shows fiscal irresponsibility. It's not like he lost income from the business or losing a job, or am I mistaken? |

He is absolutely not a tea party guy. He was when he ran for Senate, but immediately changed his stance once in the Senate. His party of 8 amnesty vote sealed his fate with the tea party. He is more favorable to the Tea Party conservative voters than Jeb Bush, but not by a lot. |

Think about it this way.. Lets say you run a business and you need to hire a guy which will have access to a company credit card. Lets say the guy you are looking to hire has had issues in the past of mis-using his previous employers credit card. Would you hire him? |

Rubio was a tea party guy. He is ABSOLUTELY not a tea party guy now. The current guys that would have the support of the Tea Party are Cruz, Carson and Paul to a lesser degree. Paul splits the Tea Party where some are social conservatives, and others just fiscal. |

based on that link, it certainly seems he misused the card. the interesting angle is his claim that he paid that item personally. do the rules mean that he can't use the card to pay at the time of purchase and settle the balance when the bill arrives at the end of the month? who knows, i'm certainly not trying to defend RUbio, i think each and every pres candidate should stand up under as much scruntiny as we can provide, he is no exception. that said, he doesn't stand a chance. so. |

Thank you for bringing this to our attention Clampett you are doing the country as a whole a very valuable service. :thumbsup
This Rubio guy is obviously a small-timer and should never be President based on that alone. I mean what kind of a President could he possibly be if he doesn't know how to operate at a much higher level of corruption than the measly few thousand that he's been accused of taking. What we need is a Presidential candidate who goes big. :2 cents: We need a President whose family foundation could take in tens of millions of dollars from foreign governments while they held a Cabinet-Level post making deals in the name of the US Government with those very same countries. A President who wouldn't bat an eye at taking millions from some of the most repressive regimes on the planet. That would be an impressive demonstration of the kind of lack of scruples that a truly great President needs. A President who knows how to REALLY be bought. :thumbsup Rubio's a piker. :winkwink: |
