B B King dead ........
 

Wonderful musician. Seen him 3-4 times at various concerts. Visited his club in Memphis numerous times. I enjoyed staying at the Peabody Hotel, eating barbecue dinner at the Rendezvous then an evening of music at BB King's.

I always liked Stand By Me...

Saw him in concert when I was 15 years old, great memories. A blues ambassador whose guitar sound and feeling is irreplaceable.

He died recently as well I think.

Sad day for music and music lovers...Going to Memphis will not be the same.

We saw him about 4 years ago in concert in Buenos Aires and he was amazing and an inspiration to watch perform.

Such a talent. He lived a long and productive life doing what he loved and what he so well...

What's amazing is that on that tour he was 85, and still pickin away like no one else could and entertaining tens of thousands all over the world. For the past 20 years or so it seemed as if the guy had no expiration date whatsoever. His music certainly doesn't.

took my mom to see him a couple years ago, the show was OK, the horn section overwhelmed his guitar, i was expecting a smaller band. he wasn't my favorite of the 3 Kings, that would be Albert King, but he was a phenom certainly.

A good sentiment

I just read he played over 15 thousand gigs over the span of 63 years.

Impressive just doesn't quite say it.
