Don't celebrities get it? What right do they have to speak about politics? They're entertainers damn it, not politiicans.

What I find so stupid about this argument that celebrities should shut the fuck up and be apolitical is that who the fuck are we? Adult Webmasters? By that logic, what right do we adult webmasters think we have expressing political opinions?

They are using their fame to get their messgae across, of course they have a right to do that. Wtf to most politicians know about porn? Not much, but they voice moral opinions on censorship of it all the time. Some actors and other celebs don;t know what they are talking about, others do... just like every other group of people that voice their opinions.

That being said, i hope the oscars don't have a bunch of "no war iraq" or "i support the president" speechs. Although I support their right to speak out, i think that would be the wrong medium to do so, and distastful in general.

Don't know if you're serious or not, but I rarely watch or read the news, yet still keep pretty up to date on world events due to GFY. Funny shit...

although, aren't you reading the news? GFY basically aggregates news from a myriad of sources, so in essence you still are reading the news.
