how often do u run a virus check?

It runs every time I restart my machine. So, on average, I'd say about once a month.

A McAfee Virus Scan 7 a day keeps the viruses away.

I run one every 2 days, then Norton about every 3 0r 4 days.

Have my Norton 2003 set to auto-scan my whole system early each morning when I'm still asleep around 7am.

Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition... runs in the background, does a full scan once a week. Dunno why I bother using it, I don't download anything that would be infected *shrug*

I took off Auto-scan, since it's a major resource hog... And I run a virus scan check every 5 months or so.

To sum it up, I'm better off not using a virus scanner. :1orglaugh

Norton baby! Updates every 12 - 24 hours

After every scan is over my machine gets so slow I have to reboot. Norton 2002.

norton checks all the proccesses running and all active files.. i dont see a reason to check everything frequently all over again since whatever goes in and out or is running are checked anyway.
