It looks like they want to sell you .porn out of fear in the same way .xxx did.

I remember the bulk of .xxx sales were to non porn firms fearing that people would buy .xxx in order to mess get cash out of them.

It looks like we are now repeating the whole thing again.

Its why I would and will never touch .xxx or .porn or anything like these.

But why? Those with .xxx appreciate the extra traffic & search.

If you could afford, you would buy :2 cents:

It works like insurance against litigation costs.
Even in UDRP arbitration a corporate domain owner will use an attorney. Ever if they have a staffed legal department it is added expense.
For a large business the cost is negligible to just pay the registration fees.
They just bulk register their trade names for a lot less than we would pay as individuals.

If you have an EMD with an unregistered trade name you are between a rock and a hard place -- but this was always this way. Now the EMD registrations gTLDs have exploded exponentially. 90% will probably amount to nothing. It is the other 10% that will matter.

agreed, absolutely! If you can afford the outlay & it compares to the gain in traffic :thumbsup

Although, in case of .xxx & .porn, I would personally like these domains, but cannot afford the outlay at present :2 cents:

If you and the adult industry had a memory longer then a year you wouldn't buy. But that goes for most things here
