Have you used Fiverr.com

Can you recommend a reputable reliable freelance website designer for a media / e-commerce website project on Fiverr.com or elsewhere.

BaltimorX 03-12-2015 06:56 AM

I have used fiverr for mainstream before, mostly to get incoming links - never for design

dirtymind 03-12-2015 12:27 PM

i have used it before and it is ok, nothing too fancy but good results.

LetterTwenty7 03-13-2015 02:55 AM

fiverr is ok, but not great, in my opinion.
It is not really the best place to post gigs and find people to do the job.

Can you comment it? Why do you think so?

BabeHunter 03-13-2015 01:54 PM

fiverr is good for small/short tasks, for a whole site design you better check odesk/freelancer

kb24 03-13-2015 03:16 PM

You get what you pay for. If you want a whole site designed there are many other places that you can look.

1215 03-13-2015 03:46 PM

freelancer, themeforest even...fivver is the worst dumpster of graphics you'll ever find.

lock 03-24-2015 04:13 AM

I have spend hundreds of fivers but it can't offer you a decent site for $5.
have you seen my sig try monsterbacklinks as well.

CyberHustler 03-24-2015 05:15 AM

Ive used that site to buy and sell, cant recommend a damn thing there homie.

Exactly :2 cents:

pomperipossa 03-25-2015 12:28 AM

Translate fiverr

I translated some video game from English to Swedish. Unfortunately thats my only gig there

ownedbox 03-25-2015 01:04 AM

have you treid seoclerks?

ribads 03-25-2015 01:20 AM

I have used fiverr for Fb likes and short video testemonials. But if you search for website designer, better use odesk.com

Yes, sure... I just wanted to say that this site is much better, and that fiverr is good for smaller tasks, like other members of this forum suggested. I didn't say that firerr is bad - but there are more useful sites similar to that one.

j3rkules 04-03-2015 11:24 AM

I have also used Fiverr a couple of times and been very happy with all the results...You can't beat that price! Just check for those with good recommendations and if they mess up it's £3+ down the drain. I think your bank balance will survive the hit.

omgitsmike 04-03-2015 12:39 PM

My experience with fiverr has depended on the scope of the project.

Small stuff like social media bookmarking/likes/followers has always worked out great.

Things like banner designs have been frustrating. I can only imagine a site is more frustrating than a banner design. Also, it seems as though $5 doesn't get you very far anymore on that site. A lot of the $5 gigs require a $20 upgrade to really be worth it or complete. I think I'd go elsewhere for site design.

1215 04-05-2015 10:21 AM

contests are good for graphics on freelancer

are MBL and SeoClerks the same people, or just using the same script?

Virta367 04-10-2015 02:54 AM

i use, good place for some small work

ArabMistress 06-02-2015 12:19 PM

Fiver is really good!

Adraco 06-02-2015 01:04 PM

Fiverr was better before, when gigs truly were just $5. Now there are all kinds of extras being added, no fun anymore.

lock 06-03-2015 01:51 AM

I have probably spent a few K at fiverr mainly on marketing and can say some gigs are packed with value and others are a waste but have a few favorites. I haven't been happy with graphics work and haven't used any graphics that i paid for. Some of the site promotion is poor with many claiming traffic they don't have . The adult site promotion is rife with false claims. Plenty of hosted tubes trying to sell text links with add on's for price of a domain. The problem with fiver is the URL is hidden until you pay and hard to report problems with ease.
There is a lot of good and bad but you may need to sift though it all ask for more information.

I have used it in the past for link building; with mixed results.

HappyTugger 06-05-2015 02:04 PM

Fiverr is great if you are buying, but always ask to see where they will be linking from or whatever... examples.

It is bad if you are selling.

$5 = $4 after they get their cut and $3.76 after PayPal gets their cut.

At that point you might as well just shoot yourself.

AdultMerchantServices 06-08-2015 01:18 PM

Its good for simple tasks. For anything else, I use upwork.

pminus 06-17-2015 11:32 AM

Why not just become more useful yourself? Learning HTML and CSS is easy if you stick to it for a little while. A basic website only consists of a few things, but you can use tools that will generate a site for you in seconds too. Just search Google for generators.

patadeperro 06-22-2015 05:52 AM

Man, you get what you pay for, usually fiverr is good fo Vistual Assistant projects, nothing else, just repetitive things that you are unable to automate (for whatever reason) anything else will back fire you

Thank you ALL.

Kelli58 06-28-2015 11:59 PM

Just remember to look where the seller is from. I have found a large amount of fraud from sellers outside of the US/UK.

I have been reporting a fair bit to the rightful owners lately letting them make the complaints. People selling templates with no resale rights or advertising traffic they don't have. Some offering to submit links going as far as creating similar pages and submitting same time. Seems that it is difficult to report problems making it a haven for scam artists. I really have cut down on use.

Princess Ellisa 07-15-2015 04:15 AM

I have not used Fiverr although my step-daughter made a fair bit of pocket money writing short stories for children on that site. They were for an app someone was building. They were cute stories, she was about 13 when she did this. So that will give you an idea of the caliber of talent on there.

That said the point behind the site is for people to post what they are willing to do for $5. As I build loads of websites and provide tons of graphics I can tell you that anyone willing to do that for $5 must have no clue what they are doing and are just looking for experience.

Odesk and Freelancer and the likes are 50/50. Sometimes you win the lottery and sometimes it fails and you never see your work, your money or your webmaster again. Sometimes you are pleasantly surprised. If you have never worked with an overseas employee and do not know how to manage them this is not advisable.

OR you can hit me up on skype and I will show you what reasonable prices look like to get your work done, with North American project management of you outsourced labour.

:)We are not the cheapest outsourcing solution but one of the best!

Umpalumpaxxl 07-16-2015 12:13 PM

Its mostly people doing a quick job, dont expect any quality from it. I used it a few times but with little success.

emmanuelle 07-16-2015 01:22 PM

I've had great results with certain small projects. One in particular was a kid who would put my message on a sign, attach it to his drone, and film it flying. - like an aerial fan sign. It was perfect, cheap and I thought the kid doing it was pretty remarkable for being so entrepreneurial.
