Cloaking - Is it worth it?
 

What do you guys think about SE cloaking software? Is it worth it, is it safe to use, any tips/tricks?

Where can I fing out more about cloaking?

I don't use it, but my opinion is it is worth it in the SHORT term, but if you are in this biz for the long term, you won't do it. Basically when SEs find out you are cloaking, your domain goes on a blacklist, and with google at least, any sites linking to that domain get a lower PageRank.

I need to find out what the SE's look for when they determine that someone is cloaking.

Anyone know?

I'm doing random research and it sounds like you're safe if you have less than 1000 cloaked pages.

google software updates constantly, i think bots are becoming smarter to catch cheaters

definitely can be worth it if you have a budget. If you get banned buy new domains and grab some new ips and no problem :)

Of course better solution is to just do it the SE's way and optimise. Less headaches in the long run as you're not worried about getting blacklisted.

Is there a way to find out who's on the black list?
