Best Video Size For Uploading To Tubes?
Just wondering what size videos should be for uploading to tube sites. For HD video obviously it must be larger in size but I am also noticing some tubes have a 60mb limit to their video sizes they accept. This seems like a very low size/resolution to me!
So let's say you take a 7 minute 'SD' video (720x480). Can you reduce it down to 50mb without losing much quality? For HD video I am assuming you cannot do this and have the video remain "HD". With so many videos being shot today in HD (and even 4K) why do some tubes still limit uploads to 60mb or less? Seems like the optimal size at that resolution would be like mobile (320), no? |
I'm not aware of any possible way currently to have a 7 minute 720x480 HD video @ 50mb or less. |
You can always lower the bitrate and change the fps, but I know tubes sites have requirements for valid submissions.

So I am thinking: two versions of each video (one above 60mb, one below 60mb)? |
Send them the video in flv format.

are these some big tube sites limiting size to 60mb? I mean are their traffic even worth the time making 2 versions of every video? I'm working on a bunch of tube sites and I've only experienced some 200mb file size limit on one of them

I am finding out about this today. Cannot be accurate and, if it is, then what kind of tubes are these anyway? Set and forget type sites with standard tube scripts not optimized? Weird man. |
