This smell was evident to anyone with a nose the second you walk off the plane in New Delhi. Now imagine what Bombay and Calcutta smelled like.

I wouldn't deny those facts and in fact its a sick side of the country. Its not only the people from other country who encountered all this but even people like us have to go though it. I travel twice a year around the country and the 1st thing that makes me and my family sick is all this.

BTW, I agree with you that converting non Indian traffic in India is not an easy task. May be you can blame piracy for that. People have a tendency that when they get something for free, then why buy it. Or may be something else.

So there is a place near our home and people from all around the world come over there; round the year. The key person of that place keeps sending some of those people to us for any help that they need.

We always had the pleasure of honouring those people in our home; making them comfortable in our family, teaching them our cultures, tasting them our food and all such things. They walk in to our home anytime as if its their own home. They used to come for breakfasts, lunch or dinner.

Sometimes we used to take them to the nearby restaurants to taste them spicy Indian food. We never asked them to pay any money and in return never expected anything from them.

People from Germany, Russia, France, Czech Republic and so on were some of them who came to our home and we never had any sort of race discrimination or whatever in our mind. There used to be young females and we never had sort of bad things running in our mind. The only thing that mattered was to treat them like our family members.

And when those people used to depart back to their home, they always used to stop by at our home to say bye.

It all depends on how one has experienced their visit and not just on the merit of that dirt. Like I said earlier, just like 2 sides of the coin, there is good & bad everywhere.

The facts are actually that India has no public toilets. People are doing their thing straight on the street.
Beaches are no place to have fun. People shit directly on sand, or they go to shit in the water. You cannot swim there.
The majority of people there are living below the level of poverty, and those few who have the access to internet actually receives incomes below $150 - or $300 per month, or even less.

Being dirty actually is not the reason they put ban . Because there are dirty places all over the world - in India this is something common though. The simple statistic shows the fact that people who are more eager to pay for service online/using their CC, by phone , or just filling form to get invoice after comes from countries who are ... hmm not India.
