theres a rough version of one of the songs on their album called "valley of misery" i believe, its available on kazaa.

it reminds me more of their earlier melodic stuff w/ the dual harmonies and such... its not bad for that type of tone, but i kinda don't like the vocals. either way, i assume they would release a song like this and not the "real" stuff everyone wants to hear (ie the fast paced early style)

Maybe creatively but the production values on those albums were terrible. MOP was the pinnacle for me.

ah fuck it, i could give 2 shits about their "personality". i'll agree that their music turned into COMPLETE shit after the black album, and into "sub-shit" 2 albums back... but seriously, IF they can indeed make an album like their initial albums, then i'm going to listen to it, and not boo-hoo about their life outside of music. if it kicks ass, then hell yeah. if that'll actually happen, i doubt it but atleast it won't suck AS bad as their latest albums.

Their last good tune was Fuel - but their songs Fade to Black, Sanitarium, and Master of Puppets are some of their most popular work.

My personal favs are Whiskey in the Bottle, Am I Evil?, Breadfan, Seek & Destroy, Dyer's Eve, and Creeping Death.

actually if you go to the metallica.com site, and download one of the videos they have in the recent news links, it shows them playing some of their older stuff like battery, and part of a new song that didn't sound too bad.

That song on kazaa isnt really metallica...Some dipshit just renamed it to be cool, actually a metallica coverband playing one of their "originals". Metallica is awsome and can play what ever kind of fucking music they want to... why is doing something different selling out??
