Eset Nod Antivir, works just fine for me. Norton is well known for sucking your computer resources dry. Even on a high end system.
Don't know much about avast...

Not so - Norton is great and has a very small footprint and using hardly any system resources at all. You must be referring to an experience from years ago because it has not been that way for at least 6 years.
My recommendation would be Norton Internet Security with out hesitation.

New laptop came with webroot, so far liking itCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about thatComment

I use F-Secure.
Not editor's choice, but..
" Bottom Line
F-Secure Anti-Virus 2015 skips the bells and whistles, instead focusing solely on antivirus protection. If that's the kind of tool you're looking for, it can be a very good choice."

I bought a license for ESET Smart Security off of Amazon for $12, couldn't be happier, fucking ESET rocks!

I second that. Norton sucks, McAfee too. Best antivir, however, is your brain. Be careful with attachments, update your system frequently, use an adblock, flashblock, whateverblock...Mental Sinema - Wanktrance OutfitterComment

Linux.
Windows Defender is probably the best free one.
+1Originally posted by dreadyI'd highly recommend installing MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit free edition, on top of whatever AV solution you decide on.
Also look into rkill, rouguekiller, and combofix from bleepingcomputer for cleaning things up after an infection.
