I am changing all my paysite Tours. No more 'Enter' and 'Exit' to Bing or Google.

NO MORE I SAY!!!

From now on: 'Enter' and 'Join Now'. If people wanna leave they can click the fuck out. I think surfers know how to click the close box. Is there some kind of Internet Law that says I MUST have an 'Exit' button?

Why on Earth do I need to send my exit traffic to fucking Google or Bing in the first place? How about if I keep all the 'Exit' links and they go to Cum Guzzling Throat Fuckers instead? How do affs feel about this GINORMOUS traffic leak?

I wonder if my sites will get penalized by Google and Bing now. LOL

I've never understood the point of enter / exit pages when most of the content is aggregated by Google Images, Bing Images etc anyway.

Google and Bing never asked you to send them Exit traffic. Why do you even have an enter/exit warning page? Are those necessary?

As mentioned, it has its roots in old-school webmasters thinking it helped their SEO back in the day. Literally serves no purpose in this day and age.

You're not being forced to send exit traffic to bing or google. Send them to any mainstream site you want or dont use the exit at all. You could even experiment with a mainstream affiliate for the exit traffic.

All my Exit links point to lemonparty.org.

Why not put Bing & Google in a popup, since they're going to get blocked by Chrome anyways :D then redirect the main page to another one of your paysites.

I send my Exit traffic to a mainstream site I own, DailyPayItForward.com. It's an idea-a-day for random acts of kindness, plus some other positive affirmation-type pages friends wrote. It was an early site to practice coding; I keep meaning to go back some day & spiff it up, but, y'know, time and such.. I actually get a smidge of traffic from the Exit clicks.

So, if you want to keep your Exit links to cover any possible legal requirements somewhere, fuck Google and Bing, AND pay it forward at no cost to you, you could always link to DailyPayItForward.com :winkwink:

How about mainstream affiliate program instead? If you have traffic it might get you something, and make you feel good for not sending it back to google.

No I think once a surfer is "in the net" I am not going to give him an easy way to Exit, even if it is somewhere else better than Google. They can click 'back' or close the window. LOL

It had to do with the laws back in the 90s where you had to have an exit on your splash page warning (no one even has splash pages anymore after the 2257 debacle came to an end). It was in the playbook if you were running sites back then (anyone back 15+ years will remember this) Nowadays, IMO, it's unnecessary but could come back to haunt if the regs go a certain way [politically] in the near future.

. Some here say recently in the last months in a thread that they use the exit button for Bing because in their opinion it helps their listing if they click on it once a day. I believe there was an entire thread about it if I'm not mistaken. But who knows, and who cares really. That's a lot of button pushing for some people and with the new algorithms I wouldn't bet on it having any effect.

I used to send exit traffic to demographically similar non-adult sites. Until Bing told me they were flagging my non-adult stuff in their serps as adult because of the adult links. I pointed out that Disney.com has way more exit links pointing to it than any of my stuff, but got nowhere.

Exactly. I used to do this with NN sites and the same thing happened to me with Bing before it was Bing. But I backed off quick and everything went OK for a bit. Amelia, I'd forgotten all about Spooky. Putting you my roster too.

I am having all the Exit buttons re-designed to look like Enter buttons. LOL Only now they say 'Join Now'. I saw another paysite do this, and it fooled me for a sec, so I thought why not.

As for sending traffic somewhere mainstream: I did that back in 2008-2009 when I started. I sent it to Fox News. LOL After about 4 months I got an email telling me to change the links. 'Thanks for your support but due to the nature of the incoming link...' Haha!! I should've sent it to Bill O'Reilly's homepage. :D
