What kind of video camera
 

should I buy that would be good to get porn on film? Price range varies.

I personally prefer:
Sony VX-2000 for video that will be used on dvd's
And the Sony TRV-11 is still my favorite camera for web only work ;-)

Canon XL-1s for sure. The quality is the best out there. It is the only camera that we will use for our video content.

I assume you are speaking of the 8mm reel cameras. IF so then you are 100% correct. I overlooked that option.

Yup, as Aaron pointed out, this is not a bad way to go. A lot of dicking around though and probably not worth the trouble.

Is it really noticeably better for sound?

It gives you better directional sound capabilities, boom vs shotgun. I am still playing with it, because each video has a different adjustment that is needed.

So far I like as #1 Canon GL-2 and #2 Sony TRV-11 I think I'll go with the Canon because I've bought from them in the past for digital cameras. (not for porn)
