Cognitive impairment is one of the most important negative consequences associated with cannabis consumption. |
Sorry but that is actually a Benefit of pot consumption.

You know regardless of what facts you drum up, people addicted to drugs will not be able to comprehend what they are doing to themselves. I know. I've been there. Only when you are past your addiction will you be able to see wtf you were actually doing.
But I am sure there will be plenty of people in here ready to defend their cannabis (ab)use :thumbsup |

Andrés Ozaita, of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain, along with colleagues in France and Germany, focused on THC, the main psychoactive chemical compound in marijuana, which acts on a specific class of receptors known as cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are known to affect the connection strength between neurons. The scientists found that THC increases the activity of a pathway that promotes protein synthesis in the mouse brain. This transient increase of protein synthesis was mediated specifically by cannabinoid receptors expressed on the brain?s inhibitory neurons, and correlated with long-term memory deficits in mice. The authors also found that inhibition of this signaling pathway by sirolimus prevents THC-induced amnesia in mice.[43] 43- Cannabinoid modulation of hippocampal long-term memory is mediated by mTOR signaling rent this for $4 you cheap fuck then you'll have the answer won't you? http://www.nature.com/neuro/journal/...l/nn.2369.html |

Im just glad we are finally getting to the point where we will no longer be paying our taxes to keep non-violent consenting adults in prison for choosing to smoke pot or sell an organic plant to other consenting adult.

I think it's bad when people DON'T blow off a little steam.
Life is too short to not have some fun. That's why human beings have searched and found ways to get fucked up since the days of the caveman. I'd say that everyone should get high or drunk every once in a while and just relax. Getting fucked up on the weekend helps to recharge the batteries and reinvigorates you to kick ass all the next week. |

Yeah Mutt, you're right. I wasn't referring to the percentage of people who are alcoholics and/or physically addicted to a substance.
Everyone has a different physiology. I was referring to the vast majority of people. It seems like our society wants to make us all live according to what the lowest common denominator is. A small percentage of folks are predisposed genetically to alcoholism: therefore we MUST stop everyone from getting drunk. You know what I mean. For the majority of people it is psychologically beneficial to blow off some steam on the weekend and have a good time. For a small percentage of people...that is something that they can not do because they are physiologically incapable (addictive personality and/or genetically physically addictive prone) |
I'm addicted to gfy and it's bad for my neurological health.
