vegas for new years..

Hey guys sorry to bother you all again, but GFY is the best place for travel advice and you guys have pretty much helped me plan every vacation..

Was supposed to go to bahamas for new year but i didnt plan it early and hotel/air tickets are not workable.. I'll just leave it for next christmas..

We finally decided to go to vegas from 31st to 5th.. (ME, GF, her sister)

I need tips on what to do/where to stay.. Budget not an issue..

Would basically love to party/club vip style.. Would love to stay in a hotel that gives us easy access into a nice club too

Any other shows or events I should catch please let me know.

Cheers!!

Vegas always good to visit :thumbsup

The best advice I could give you is to not go to Vegas for New Years. I made that mistake once. Been living in Vegas for the last 6-7 years and I leave town for New Years most of the time.

wish i was her sister's boyfriend haha

Just stuff yourself into a sardine can and light a sparkler. It's the same as being here for New Year's Eve.

LOL, that's about right. I did it one time, and that will be the last.

jsimba99 12-21-2014 09:49 AM

best city in the world, everybodymust go there

lopezeva850 12-21-2014 10:21 AM

not if you are a gambler who can't think

City Center, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn, Encore. Then get good room / penthouse there. MGM has nice premium rooms too. Contact all these places through their website, and ask.

Skyline Terrace MGM

It may be a little too late for this, but I am not sure. Again, contact the places above. MGM is an older resort / hotel.

All the great clubs have huge parties for New Years. Everything is extremely busy so be prepared to wait a lot, be very crowded and spend a ton if cash anywhere you go.... We did it last year.

Still a great time!

how do i know where the party is at for that night?

Slick 12-23-2014 05:44 AM

As far as shows, go see "O" at the Bellagio, it's truly amazing. Then if you wanna see some magic, go see Chris Angel at the Luxor :)

If you're IN Vegas, and ON the Strip and can't find the party...then I feel bad for you.

Try the Signature at MGM Grand. :2 cents:

First lesson of making plans for new years. Best chances are probably 6 months in advance.... jesus

Thanks aaron.

Signature, Pallazo, and Mandarin oriental are available.

Which one do you recommend for us considering these 3 options?

Axeman 12-24-2014 08:52 PM

Signature and Pallazo are both good.

MaDalton 12-24-2014 09:02 PM

I once spent new year on Fremont street - that was pretty cool

Since you mentioned Aria and Cosmo, it seems you are partial to the City Center scene. If that's the case, go with Mandarine Oriental.

I like some of the middle end suites at the Palazzo and there is a lot of action in that area.

Signature is nice but not on the strip.

Really depends on what you're looking for.
