Another thread here states there were 12 MILLION arrests in 2011. I think you're pretty safe. Especially if you aren't being arrested. Being shot by a cop has never even entered my train of thought.

The article makes no mention of how many of the people killed by the police in the USA were armed and threating the police violently with guns or other dangerous weapons. Deduct those first from the 'alleged' 1000 ... The number is more like a few hundred maybe ... Still to many but the police don't kill just for sport (usually).

There's a link to a spread sheet with info on each shooting. I clicked three random ones and in each, the person shot had a weapon and pointed it at the police.

A fourth was a cop killing his family and then himself.

That figure would be a lot more interesting if it was compared to growth in population.

The US pop has grow from 281M to 319M since the year 2000. That's a 13.5% increase.

1- was a gang member sought in connection with three murders was shot and killed Tuesday morning by police officers sent to arrest him at a central Fresno apartment complex, ... Did not see anything saying he was unarmed.

So using everyones retarded math, you are nearly 100 times more likely to be shot by a gang member than a cop.

This board has taught me a lot. First, everyone is innocent if they are black. Guilty black people apparently just don't exist. Second, if they are convicted... its only because the system is rigged. If they are shot by a white cop, no matter what they did leading up to that moment, its still only because a white cop is racist. Lastly, if a black cop shots a black... non issue. If a black cop shoots a white... non issue. Other races getting shot by police? Dunno... it never makes the news because no one can cry racism and other races don't typically spend their days hunting for ways to play the race card.

Lastly, if you are an unhinged Mexican in Florida on a self appointed citizens patrol who shoots a black guy lurking in peoples yards at night and after a violent struggle, the media will call you a "white latino" to attempt to fit that into the narrative and he is then racist and his actions motivated by racism.

We also should pretend that the streets in many large cities are not full of gang bangers armed to the teeth... frequently shooting innocent people in drive-by shootings with their horrible aim.

That was 13 years ago now. If 1000 were killed this year, it's probably safe to say the previous years were in the same ballpark. That would make his statement pretty accurate.

The math in your two posts does not match. If 30 people are murdered per day, that is approx 11,000 people. So there is no possibility that 100,000 people, out of 11,000, were murdered by gang members.

Also, United States has roughly 2.4 million people locked up.

Even if cops kill more people than terrorists we can't associate them...
