Choopa_Pardo 11-19-2014 12:58 PM

I trim the top end where the stem connects to the bean, yes.

I'm all ears! got your recipe handy? do you bread them?

atom 11-19-2014 01:37 PM

I usually just snap the ends off. There is something oddly soothing about it.

RebelR 11-19-2014 01:42 PM

I think the traditional method for it is to fry Fry them, but usually I blanch them in water first and then rinse under cold water and set aside. I usually just make a sauce out of some rice wine vinegar, a tsp of sugar, a shot of soy sauce and a bit of sesame oil. I fry a bit of fresh ginger in some sesame oil, add some garlic chili paste, and then add the beans and the sauce and fry till warmed through. You can omit the blanching and just follow a recipe like this one though. Probably one of my favorite chinese dishes that I often use as a side for many meals.

fuck that

I grab a big handful, chop the stem part off all of them at once and throw them into the cooking vessel. Aint nobody got time to be snapping each bean individually. :)

We break off the ends and fry them in a large pot with lots of butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
They're awesome!

Where are they coming from? it's not the season for fresh beans.
Uberfresh is picked 5 minutes ago, not flown in from Peru.

With bubble wrap, I roll it up and twist it to pop lots of bubbles at once. :)

dyna mo 11-20-2014 04:38 PM

the only good bubble wrap to bop is the big bubble one, the little bubbles are a let down.

Snap off the ends. Wrap a few of them in bacon forming a small bundle and fry them. When bacon is crisp, ram the bacon/bean bundle into a Twinkie and deep fry the twinkie in bacon grease.
