Who is using Piwik for stats?

Who here is using Piwik for stats? Would love to hear your experiences. Do you like it?

Especially interested in whether you manage the Piwik installation yourself or use Piwik pro or have your host manage it and what specs you feel are crucial.

I've been using it for years. Make sure your mysql is well tuned. I am running it on a single db server running Mariadb. I'm probably not throwing anywhere near the traffic at it that you might. It doesn't cause much trouble with 400k page views a day give or take.

I have been using it for a while also but it has become slightly less useful now with google search terms no longer being fed through. It was fantastic when they were able to tell you what the visitor searched for and your rank for the term etc but there are enough other things I find useful anyway.

Self installation is pretty simple, the instructions are good and if you change the file permissions as they suggest it can then upgrade itself with very little effort from you (which they seem to want to do pretty frequently lately).

Been using it for almost 6 years. I like the features but have randomly lot data on several occasions. Sometimes it's just a day, others it's a complete month gone. Because of this, I don't rely on it. :2 cents:

Yeah, I've seen this as well on my attempts to run it. I've got it on its own server, but I think I need a stronger one.
