When trying to talk with the person of interest they tend to shout his name from far away thus allowing him to run. Instead of positioning themselves closer and only then starting talking. I always found it funny. But they need those chasing scenes :1orglaugh

On a side note, Blue Bloods is a decent series, maybe even under a radar a bit.

Vic Mackey just shoots. No shouting.

Poppin' a cap in the ass of a stationary target is no fun.

More sporting when they're on the run.

Besides, if they don't get the chance to run - the copper doesn't get to ask, "Why'd you run?" to which Tyrone replies, "I was scared!"
