anyone who possesses or even resembles the capabilities it would take to 'pick' that lock surely would do something more productive than stealing your fuckin walmart bike...

Hey the lock is a great idea, I was simply challenging the claim it would be un-pickable.

the level of security bike locks have today cracks me up. Peeps carry around bulky heavy locks to secure a $200 bike.

just get a simple chain and lock, if thieves want your piece of shit bike, they are going to get it regardless. If your riding around on a $1500+ 18 pound bike and 3 pounds of lock to run errands, you should reassess your bike.

That's what you call over engineering a problem that doesn't exist.

If some one wanted your bike that bad they would just use bolt cutters or lift it.

Watched a guy at a local campground use a Dremel on a $200 "undefeatable" kryptonite bike lock. Went through it like a hot knife through butter in less than a minute.

(and no, he wasn't stealing the bike - his son had lost the key)
