school me on payoneer
So I had to set up a payoneer account to get paid from a certain sponsor, which those payments end up directly in my (UK) bank account.
I was under the impression payoneer was like epassporte, in that funds went to blahblah, and I must have a card to withdraw from an ATM etc. Am I mistaken there, and now I have this payoneer account (are there more than 1 type of account?) any sponsor that pays via payoneer, I'll see those funds deposited in my UK bank account? Or is this a 'special' type of payoneer account, and not what sponsors payout via payoneer in general? |
I didn't used payoneer for ages, but i am sure how you are not obligated to use card to withdraw, but you can if you want.Same was with epass, same is with paxum, you can but you dont need to use their card, you can use bank withdraw.

gotcha, from memory epass withdrawal was a bitch if you were outside the US, hence you needed a card, though I may very well be mistaken there as well.
Also the whole wallet thing with epass? Basically I had to set up this payoneer thing, link my bank account, and next steps are: sponsor pays payoneer > money goes direct into my account. So a wire via payoneer basically, wasn't sure if that was the default setup, and whether any and all payments from any sponsor using payoneer was the same process? |

unless they've changed the rules recently I don't believe you can use bank transfer and the debit card on the same payoneer account, you have to choose one or the other.
I refuse to use the card for accepting payments from sites/partners because the ATM fees are so outrageous to me, but I use global bank transfer with sites that don't send checks and I love it. when I asked Nissim about also getting the card to accept the occasional private load, I was told that payoneer doesn't support both options on the same account. unless you have a site that only pays out to the card that should't be a big deal, the bank transfer option will save you a to of $$$$ in the long run. def check with Nissim though, payoneer may have changed their rules on that since I inquired about earlier this year. |

gotcha klentaris :thumbsup
And yep that's the one Jesse, global bank transfer - I don't have an account with any card. So that's all done in payoneer's backend I assume? Sponsor sends out payments, 3 days later it lands in my bank account? I'll hit up nissim, though support was pretty slow during the account setup procedure and I wanted some faster answers hence this thread. Thanks guys, appreciated :) |

once you have it all set up (and it sounds like you do) you don't have to do anything, when a sponsor sends you a payment payoneer sends it automatically. once more thing, if you find a sponsor you want to join who only offers payoneer to the debit card, the sponsor can manually enable the global bank transfer option in their account to pay you via the bank transfer method. One payoneer partner site I use only offered payouts to the card but Nissim helped the owner through the process of enabling the bank transfer option in order to pay me via the global bank transfer method. Nissim is good peeps, I haven't seen him around much lately but in the past whenever I've PMed him he's responded promptly. |
