Expectations Of Content Providers ?
 

For those of you that purchase content whether it be vids or pics what type of service or expectations you look for in a content provider? Numerous payment options, easy access to view samples, TGP ready clips, free samples, updates etc. What type of delivery do you prefer, downloadables that you keep when purchased out right or leased feeds hosted by the provider that you pay for monthly? What would you like to see more of?

The issue is, what do the surfers want

with quite a few sites, we get a lot of feedback from our customers

And the one thing they all want is downloadable movies

but the issue we face there is that I know for a fact that they come in and download everything, then cancel within the trial

plus most of the content will end up on Kazaa sooner or later

So I try to offer both streamed content and downloadable movies.

And I think the one feature we should all be investigating is Digital rights Management (DRM), to counter the P2P problem

Payment options aren't too big of a thing.
Download is nice because I usually wait until the last minute :1orglaugh
The big thing I look for is image samples and index thumbs of the entire set. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's purchasing something that looks good based on a couple of samples only to find out that the set is loaded with filler or crappy quality/photography.

How do you feel about content providers placing their watermark in their videos, that members in your paysite view? The DRM is definately the way to go to curtail the P2P bullshit.

Must have good database capabilities. Must update frequently. Must also provide really FRESH new content.

This is one of the reason I left the previous company I worked for. I thought I knew what webmasters wanted from a content provider but content companies sometimes lose that perspective.

As a webmaster I would want a company that gives me what I pay for and then a little more to help me stay loyal to them.

A feed that gives you weekly updates, and then also lets your members know what they can expect to see in next weeks update. That not only gives you what you paid for but also might keep that member a member one more week, and your rentention higher.

( And I hope I am not just listing the ContentGuys.com modo but some other premium content providers)

I say it isnt about how many members you can get to signup for the free trial but how many you can keep after their 3 days are done!

One thing that pissed me off was when I would go back to a site and it would let me add a photo or video set i have already purchased to my basket... A system which stopped u purchasing the same set twice would be good...

i purchase that fucking much that one pussy pretty much looks like another.

When we buy content we ask our content supplier to watermark or ? all our video, or if we buy raw footage we do this ourselves. Our supplier http://www.legalpictures.com supply only custom / exclusive content so its not on any other site. We pick the girls or guys we want and they shoot it for us. They supply us with a CD full of images or a mini dv for the video along with this they send a copy of the models IDs and HIV tests with the phone # and address of the model removed. We give them a story and they shoot it. I believe that an all exclusive content site gets more and retains more members due to the fact that the images/video are not all over the web.
