Christmas is NEXT month? Really??
 

Good grief how time flies - it certainly doesn't seem like it should be next month - at least not to me!

What are some of the traditions you and your family follow for Christmas - just out of curiosity?

My daughter reminded me last night - so someone has to be in hell with me on this matter. lol

We are very few - I make dinner and everything is pretty simple in my family.

The one thing that HAS to happen, with Thanksgiving or Christmas, we have to have the Sour Cream Jello - everything else is adjustable but not this. My mother in law fucked up the jello and put sour cream in it instead of whipped cream when her kids were little and she let them know this was on purpose - they loved it so much it is now a MUST - you can not put up a tree, but you better have that jello. lol

We have a number of things already purchased for my son but I am one that likes a lot of gifts under the tree so now I need to buy him a bunch more shit he does not need.

Might be going to an all inclusive hotel this year for Xmas instead of staying home.

My husband is the same way - I swear we could wrap a ton of empty boxes and I think he'd be happy!! All but one of my kids are grown and moved out now, but he still has to have it loaded like we were the damn Hiltons or something. lol

With all we've been thru this year and just my youngest at home, I am hoping for a lowkey thing this year - just ONE time - as long as they don't ask me AGAIN, to make Lasagna - I simply can't do it - it has to be a Turkey and Ham - even if it is just 3 of us. lol

we get drunk as usual

We are skipping Christmas this year. Getting married in April so keeping out money for that, rather than wasting it on shitty presents for everyone.

I will be buying for my niece and nephew, but that's it...

Watching football all week.
Oh, and turkey!

I'm hosting it this year and am also the one that does all the main cooking... I am going to make so much food people's stomachs will BURST! HAH

Usually drive to Tampa as don't dig airplanes and most of my Family said fuck Chicago cold long time ago and moved down there. Nothing fancy just chilling down there with them and since I have my ride usually cruise around on my own a few days as know the area pretty well now from vacationing there for years. Someday I may end up down there as well.
