Having seen this it made me wonder, why hasn't anyone really jumped on this and made a GOOD video game for adults? I realize there has been 'interactive' porn and such on computers since the beginning, but I've yet to see something good come out. I'm not talking about some stupid ass volley ball game where there is a secret unlock code for the kiddies because clearly this can land these folks in alot of trouble. I'm talking about a game with an adult story line, sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Thats exactly what I mean, but something more 'hardcore'. LSL was a great series but it was silly like this DOA shit. I guess the point im trying to make is that normally porn video games are really boring to play, or the ones that are fun to play arnt really porn video games. Know what I mean?

Maibe it's because the target buyers of video games are people under the age of 18. I do not know.

Because no publisher with enough pull to make it work would touch it so it would have to be financed privately. Then distribution would be an issue, and without widespread mainstream distro points the game wouldn't recoup enough to cover the cost of making it.

Unless of course it was a strictly budget title, in which case you just answered the question of "why hasn't anyone really jumped on this and made a GOOD video game for adults?"

He said GOOD Adult video games. Sure, there are hundreds of titles out there like the ones you mentioned above. I believe he's talking about mainstream style games with gameplay and with adult content that weren't made with Macromedia.

I think Jak sorta hit the nail on the head. I was thinking along these lines but with games that come so close to it, GTA, DOA...

Example: Wet, the sexy empire is a strategy/simulation game in which you build up your own porn empire, going from shooting pictures and vids in a small hotel to buying your own casino's, adult businesses, etc. Hundreds of hours in gameplay, and NOT made in macromedia.

None of these were made in Macromedia, dickwad.

I've been in the game industry for about 9 years now, so my viewpoint comes from that perspective. Think I'll run down to CompUSA or Electronics Boutique and pick up a copy of Sexy Empire or Ultravixen.

LSL was a great series for a few reasons. Sure you go around trying to screw chicks, but there are elements of adventure and humor.

I've never even heard of WET so I can't really comment on it. However I don't really mean a game strickly about 'adult business'
I mean a well developed game that is geared for adults. GTA comes close but thats more for teenagers than anything. I don't want to get off playing a game, I'm just surprised that the gaming market hasn't targeted 18-30 year olds more.

Well, Wet (and the sequel) are well developed games geared towards adults. It's like strategy, simulation and porn combined.

That was the whole point of my comment that you called me a dickwad over. Get a clue. The man asked for "GOOD" games and it was clear to me that he wasn't talking about Virtual Valerie, Ultravixen, or any of the other games you listed. Yeah, those are games, and no, not all were made with Macromedia, but that's not what the guy was asking about.

That's like saying that someone who's been in adult web design for 9 years should know what design software every adult site that's ever been was built with. I was making a point. No reason to cry about it.

Virtual Valerie and Ultravixen are the only 2 games of these that you've played. That's obvious. They are also the only sex-simulation games in the list.
None of those were made with Macromedia, you saying that just shows you have absolutely no idea what those games are about.

LSL was mentioned - well, most of these are better, have better gameplay, and are generally more interesting.

The rest of your list is primarily made up of Bishoujo titles, which yes, I have played. While popular in their own right with some fans of Japanese gaming, they are NOT AT ALL what the subject of this post was addressing. I mention Ultravixen and Virtual Valerie because they are readily available and playable by US based gamers, not just manga fanboys (although Ultravixen easily falls into that realm).

I have to agree with Jak. The point of my post was to really point out the quality of mainstream games geared towards teenagers and why this sort of standard has never been brought to the 18-30 year old category using adultish themes and whatnot. Although sex would play a big part in these types of games this should not mean that its the only part of the games. Sex sells we all know this, so why hasn't anyone stepped up with some hardcore adult related games. When I say hardcore, I DONT mean hardcore sex. I just think DOA is a sorry excuse for using sex to sell a volley ball game or fighting game.

In the list were rpg games (final fantasy style), strategy games (rollercoaster tycoon style), action games and more, all with adult storylines.

To quote the original post:

My god! Did you read those reviews? This is exactly my point. While there are HEAPS of adult related games out there. They are rip offs, sub standard games. The only thing going for them is a little virtual tit.
