I just bought a Galaxy Tab S tablet.

So far I don't understand why people prefer Android over Ios.

Can someone please enlighten?

The main screen has like 2 rows of icons and tons of wasted space, then when I swipe to the next screen it has some stupid ass Amazon thing.

Is there supposed to be some magic way to get rid of crap on the screen so I can have say the weather and calendar and then 3-4 rows of apps I use?

People prefer Android because its cheaper?

I'm sure that's one of the reasons. I suspect a big part is also that they haven't tried Apple products, or were predisposed to not liking what they saw.

Once again we had problems with our cell phone... guess which one?

The damn iPhone. Again. This time it wouldn't charge. Every fucking week there is drama with this phone.

i've owned a apple ipad and I still prefer androids cause of the many options.

Every brand has a different look and feel to them and it's not just android. Check out that youtube above and look up other youtubes of your model and i'll bet you can find a way to do about anything you want to


Maybe apple stuff just works but android stuff works and does much more if you take the time to learn the tricks.

I'm still trying to see why Android...

I want to upgrade/downgrade to a Note 4. Or upgrade to a 6 Plus.

I just don't see it. I did find a thread about Homescreens but really most people don't do much other then add a wallpaper to them. So what is so customizable about it?

You press and hold the icon you want to delete,there will be a trash icon showing up,swipe the icon there and its gone.Same with widgets.Go to main option menu,add whatever you want to homescreen by pressing the icon.Same the "taskbar".Whatever you want to costumize,there is an app for that.Go to playstore.

So why did you buy a Galaxy Tab S tablet and not an ipad?

Android simply rocks!

Galaxy is really really light, I needed something super light and the screen on it is awesome.

After playing with it last night (thanks those that offered help) i've done a little bit of work to it.

Guess now it's time to find the right Widgets that won't crash it, lag it, or drain the battery.

Not even a factor for me, I don't care for Apple mainly for 2reasons.

One I hate typing like a 4year old with 2 fingers and much prefer to Swype and second I like be able to customize my device much more then what iOS allows me to do. :thumbsup

After many year and a number of Iphones I switched to a Samsung S5
Would have been cheaper for me to buy an Iphone 6
After 1 day I found it just as easy to use as the Iphone and for somethings easier once you understand where everything is etc. Just like using any new OS and the first Iphone I owned.
Unlike the Iphone I didn't have to root/jailbreak the S5 to be able to change some settings and increase its' functionality.

I also find the battery last longer than 2/3 of a day.

As for my Ipads, I'm about to toss them in the trash thanks to their constant popup every 5 min telling me that some unknown file isnt downloading (also rebooting some apps when it pops up).. Seems linked to the shit U2 album that ended up on them without asking me if I wanted them.

Remove Home Screen Panel

From a home screen, pinch in on the screen.
Note Place two fingers on the screen and bring them together.
Select and hold the appropriate panel then drag it to Remove

Remove, trash can icon (located at the top).

What's wrong with the Swype on the iPhone? I find it to be functionally the same as the one on my Android.
