As a father, I'm taking a different stance on the typical reaction to a tragedy such as this. I'm focusing on the parents. I can not begin to imagine the horror, depression, feeling of absolute powerlessness they must feel. I am tired of thinking about what this piece of #$%$ did to evade being caught, what he did as a job, what his "credentials" were... he drove a cab. whoopty doo. I have no idea how parents can hold their baby girl, feed her and soothe her when she cried as an infant. Be the ones to protect her from the little things that scared her. Changed more diapers than any person can imagine possible. Coach her through the awkward years and get her through the hell of high school. Keep her motivated to get into a great college that is supposed to take care of their baby... just to have it come to this. I just have no words. I can only shed a tear with you. You loved your child and raised her to do great things. She will live on in millions of peoples hearts.
