In other breaking news: eleven times whatever number you multiply it by is that number twice (ie 11x7 = 77)

Also, put your 2 hands in front of your face and do anything times NINE. Nine times five (starting from left to right use each finger until you get to five). What's left 4 fingers and five fingers = 45

It's much easier to just learn the tables.

Here's another trick... If you add any of those two numbers together they... Equal nine. Nine times nine is eighty-one, and if you add eight and one together you have - presto - nine.

That is actually nothing new... at least for me.

its not bad for beginners to use as a checking device, but yeah pretty backwards on the learning.

we were mostly just taught to memorize the combos from 1-12 and had speed drills for it. Pretty effective considering i still remember it hehe
