easy rider 1969

music is harsh on the ears :disgust im sober

quote from the movie:

George is a southern lawyer who has worked for the ACLU, and immediately jokes with Wyatt and Billy about how they look like outsiders. He notes that the townspeople here took ?rusty razor blades to long hair.? He also says he imagines they can get out of jail easily if they haven?t killed anybody??at least nobody white.?

Not a bad movie, actually. I was traveling their way too. Just in the opposite direction. Perhaps that's why I'm still alive ;)

You should have realized it wasn't going to be Gladys Knight and the Pips.

Most definitely - that movie is SO not a Gladys Knight and the Pips kind of thing - it's a harsh movie about harsh subjects with harsh music behind it. I've seen that thing so many times and I loved it - but it is what it is and those were the times.

I was born in 1964 so I was too young to really have a connection with the movie era - but relatives and friends that would talk about it related very well to it, whether it be the one side or the other - so it was well depicting of the times I suppose - but it was harsh, that much is for sure. :winkwink:

Get yer motor running, running down the high way!

That movie helped out Harley Davidson a lot in sales

Never understand these choppers. Your hands are always up. It's very uncomfortable.

And how many have you ridden to reach this conclusion?

Zero. I'm not a biker. But I hate to keep my hands higher than my chest for a long time. Look a Fonda on the picture above.

You are welcome, "biker". Once again, I don't need to ride anything to find out that holding my hands higher than chest is very uncomfortable.

I have never ridden one, but have seen them up close and they just don't look safe to me - it doesn't seem like one would have the needed reaction time if something were to happen - I guess it is possible - but just doesn't look safe or comfortable to me either.

I was raised on and around bikes and never have been a fan of choppers - :(

Course they are not safe just because their center of gravity is shifted (I'm not a biker but I know what physics is ;)). That's why all the real sport bikes have a way different form.

I own 2 Harley's. I have rode a bike with Ape Hangers. It's ok, but not for me. I like my arms to be level or aiming down a little bit

I guess your physics class skipped the part on aerodynamic drag? choppers are built for comfort and long rides instead and no they aren't more dangerous than sport bikes, not even close..

On a bike, you turn by leaning mostly. Not turning the front tire
